Mr. Darcy can finally rejoice in the company of his lovely bride … until his domineering aunt takes up residence at Netherfield, claiming injury and refusing to leave.
At last, Elizabeth is his. Mr. Darcy can finally rejoice in the company of his lovely bride and continue to claim the rights of the marital bed that bring them such bliss. Or so he thinks… until his domineering aunt takes up residence at Netherfield, claiming injury and refusing to leave.
Clearly, whoever invented the concept of wedded bliss never conceived of Lady Catherine de Bourgh. After a battle of wills with the intractable Lady Catherine de Bourgh, Mr. Darcy can finally claim the rights of the marriage bed, uninterrupted.
That is, until someone in the servants’ quarters at Pemberley decides to make Elizabeth as miserable as possible.
Part 4 of a 5 part series featuring Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy.
While normally I do not like reading serial stories this one has just sucked me in and got me completely hooked! The story just keeps intriguing me more and more and I am DYING to know what happens next!!!! I can't wait for the next part to get here.
How long will this series continue? What will Darcy do once he discovers that Mrs. Reynolds is a list and the cause of dissension in the Darcy household? How will Mrs. Reynolds act once she discovers that Elizabeth is pregnant with Darcy 's child? Will she try to hurt Elizabeth, or will she finally back off and behave herself?
The story started with the trials of having Lady Catherine being at Netherfield after she got injured. How they tried to get rid of her. Then finally the Darcy's return to Pemberley.
I find some parts of the story funny, though I feel terrible about EB's ordeal. Overall, reminding myself of all EB had to go through on this story (from the bery beginning).... can't help but to feel sirry for her. She might have some stroke of bad luck. I even find FD to be less smart and annoying in this story. I questionif he is truly in love with EB. I find him to be lust and pride driven (seems he might have marrried her because he wants to get all that he wanted) .
Anyway, it ended with what I thought what EBD's character is. Brushing of all that is bad and ending with a smile/laugh.
I cannot wait for the next segment (not sure if it is the final one). I know , I won't be dismayed if there is a part 6 but I know some might.
(NOTE: Mature scenes in the story)

If you like your Pride & Prejudice with some spicy passion, you'll love this series! The only complaint I have is that I have to wait for the next book to resolve a new set of issues - but that's the point! Short, with angst, frustration, passion and misunderstandings. There are definitely times that I wished Elizabeth & Fitz were not members of polite society - there are a few troublemakers in their midst. This story picks up after their wedding and continues to their first days at Pemberly as husband and wife. Dealing with meddlesome relatives and housestaff, the newlyweds have their hands full. This installment also has humor and a nice surprise - engaging entertainment!

I don’t understand why these five books are not just one book! That said I have mostly enjoyed the story. It was easy to read, the prose was straightforward although there are a number of grammatical faux pas.
I’m going to write a cross book review for these x4 + books. I’ll post for each book. So spoilers ahead. Beware. This story starts with Lizzie trapped as a serving maid in a dubious establishment after she is tricked to go work as a governess, a job that doesn’t exist. Lizzy finds out she’s being taken to be a light skirt in London and escapes, taking a job at a public house. Darcy, due to a storm, stumbles across this house and spots Lizzy. He discovers enough of her story to insist on taking her with him to pemberly. Lizzie resists of course but eventually agrees. Now what can Darcy do with her. Her reputation is sullied by no fault of her own and he still wants her. But it would be unsupportable to marry her. He rather stupidly asks her to be his mistress, with earns him a reddened cheek and a jaunt across the country. I’ll say no more but this is a nice slow burn sexy as hell series I’m really loving and cannot wait for part 5.
