I have to say that this is a sad way to get attention pulled towards an author. This book was written in October of 2022 . It is now January 2024 and there is still no answer for why this ending was left like that. To me this reflects on the writer. I was going to give it three stars but I changed it to one. The one indicates an unhappy result of reading this and that is exactly what’s happens here. The sad part is it was good. It held your interest and pulled you in but then it fell flat. Which negates the good. A writer needs to know that a reader who purchases their book has an expectation but this is like she took our money and is laughing at us. I will not read anything else from this writer.
A captivating novella that showcases the author's talent for crafting an engrossing plot and compelling storyline. From start to finish, the narrative keeps readers hooked with its intriguing premise, well-developed characters, and thought-provoking themes. However, despite its many strengths, the book falls short in one crucial aspect, prompting a three-star rating. There’s no ending, the author leaves it on a cliffhanger and being that’s it’s 80pages I was definitely disappointed and probably will never know what happens.
I love how Trenton starts to learn who Sandy is. Remembering who Pam is though, is pretty scary. I read it on Kindle Vella first. OMG to where you left it. My wife read it too and we are both wondering what happens next? Then she found it on KU. We each downloaded it hoping it continued on. It ends at the same spot. 😭 Please, please, please continue it?!?! 🙏 We and probably others, would love to know what happens next!
It was a good read & Trenton was slowly remembering pieces of her memory before she was in a coma. Would’ve love to see where her & Sandy’s journey ends up. Do they end up together again? What has happened to Pam? Do they catch her? Did the lieutenant help Pam? Oh My God!! So many in answered questions I need to know. This cliffhanger ending has too many questions. Please write a sequel to it 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Short stories have a style to themselves . There's not a lot of space to build the characters but I had a lot of support for Trenton and Candy. There's just a hint of darkness as they search together. I did not see the end coming Well done
