An officer rescues a malnourished child from horrid circumstances all the while developing a relationship with a matron who stands by his side. Nestled in the hills of the Lake Michigan shoreline, the ranch overlooks open fields and rich oak, maple, and beech tree groves. It has been owned by the Katzen family for generations. Once a working ranch producing cattle and milking cows, it has now turned into a therapy ranch for a multitude of special populations. Hunter is the epitome of a handsome young officer doing his best to serve his community. Little does he know that he will have a pivotal role in changing a child’s life through his devotion and the influence of his friends at Living River. Trista has made gains in therapy and is now able to discuss her sister’s tragic death. But therapy also comes through a budding relationship and the care of a tiny girl found in darkness. How will this new relationship, a bonfire at Living River, and Matthew Katzen change the life of a child bound for nowhere? Open up the book and read all about it! A Time To Keep and A Time To Throw Away is the eleventh book in the Living River Ranch contemporary Christian romance series. All books written in this series follow Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 “A Time for Everything” If you like a cleanly written romance series with fully developed characters that move through a series of books, you will love the A Time For Everything Series.
Child abuse should not exist but most unfortunately we see it in the news every day. This book is about this theme and how the ranch helps a little girl to overcome her problems and give mankind another chance after being found in a most outrageous situation by her parents. It also starts to develop the personal relationship between troubled Tristan and Hunter, hopefully they´ll also have a happy ending. I received a free copy of this book from the author/Bookfunnel in exchange for an honest review.
What a wonderful book. I can't wait to see how it all comes out. All the characters are so caring and loving to a new addition to the group. With everyone there to help heal others I find myself wishing there was a place like Living Water Ranch that really existed. All the time and love put into this story makes me want to join them. I really recommend this book, which is part of a wonder "A Time For Everything" series. Everlee just gets better and better. I received this book as a gift in exchange for an honest review.
Little Bend, Michigan has a wonderful therapy center at the Living River Ranch and some of the characters in this series are helped there. Trista, the long-lost sister of Maxwell, is one of those being helped. Hunter is a police officer and during one of his calls, he finds an abandoned child, Daisy. Trista and Hunter grow closer, as she helps him with Daisy. Grab your copy and see what an amazing series these books are.
Trista is in counseling with Bella concerning her relationship with her twin, Treena. Trista decides to be a writer. Her relationship with Hunter, a sheriff's deputy, is in its beginning stages.
Hunter and his partner rescue a young abused girl, Daisy, from a cage in an outbuilding.
This story whets your appetite for more about the couple and the abused child. Read to find out what happens.
This short story dealt with a few heavy topics. I adored Daisy and the bits of watching her blossom. As always, I’d love to see this as a full length novel. I see so much potential! However, I’m enjoying getting these snippets of people’s lives. It’s hard to believe this is book 11 already.
I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
A Time To Tear Down and A Time To Mend is yet another great story about the people of the living river rance. This story gave me tears in my eyes of emotion. You can't help but love all the people who live on the rance and people who are involved. I'm so curious about the next book. I got this book for free for an honest review.
Foster care is a sticky situation, and I’m glad it was brought up gracefully. The ranch does seem to be a pool of healing for everyone, and the speed at which it does so is astounding. These stories are short, and I would like to witness a little more struggle, but I appreciate the happy endings! I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
It is an inspirational, emotional, and heartwarming story. Hunter was a deputy sheriff and Trista lived and worked at the Living River Ranch. Their love was something like a poem. I wholehearted recommend A Time to Tear Down and A Time to Mend by Everlee Whitman.
This is another 5 stars read from Everlee Whitman. She knows how to pull at your heart strings. This is a second chance for a little girl. Even though this is a story we all could get something out of these books. I am enjoying this series
