Sir Gustav Victor Joseph Nossal, AC, CBE, FRS, FAA is an Australian research biologist famous for his contributions to the fields of antibody formation and immunological tolerance.
In 1990 he was awarded the Albert Einstein World Award of Science, given to researchers working in areas that "have brought true benefit and well being to mankind," and in 2000 was named Australian of the Year by the The National Australia Day Council.
