One of the best books I've ever read in my life.

This book built the basic ethic commonly shared in the east Asia. So many proverbs widely known in Japan came from this book. But still, it's not at all difficult to read and it sounds quite simple, lively, and fun.

It could be compared with the Bible in the Cristian countries, but it sounds a lot different.

A clause in this book clearly says that Confucius didn't talk anything about supernatural power like miracles, gods, or demons. Mostly, his sayings are quite concrete and realistic. Nothing is unconditional and everything is told in some context.

It's not organized in any structure or order at all, and just a collection of short fragments of Confucius's sayings and behavior described by his disciples.

Confucius known from this book is a quite positive, energetic, and lively person, who laughs when it's fun, makes complaints about things he thinks not right, and just cries when it's sad.
