This book is a murder mystery but with high stakes and the plot was riveting. The cast of characters were all interesting and mixed with animals and humans. This has a bit of fantasy tied in.
Mouse gets an invitation to a mansion of his father’s boss. He has no idea why until he gets there and there are others that have arrived. He soon learns it’s a game of survival and trickery. The twists and turns are engaging.
I enjoyed this story, the author did a good job of laying out the mystery, the development of the characters was well thought out.
This book needs more editing, but if you're willing to overlook that, this is a fantastic story. Think Agatha Christie plots and you'll understand this story. Very nicely planned out! Kudos to Natalie Rutledge, who was only 13 upon completion of this story.
