The Alpha Wolf Rancher's Runaway Omega

Rate this book
Wesley

A runaway omega haunted by a past he can’t outrun, Wesley knows he’s living on borrowed time—and with pups on the way, every dusty road only leads to more danger. Hiding his condition from suspicious strangers is a fragile, desperate gamble, but it’s better than ending up back in the clutches of the alpha who claimed him as property. When he stumbles onto a secluded ranch, half-starved and dead on his feet, Wesley has no choice but to trust the gruff, no-nonsense alpha who refuses to let him die on his land—despite wanting nothing to do with pregnant drifters.

Zack

A hard-edged alpha with no patience for lies, Zack carved out a life of solitude to escape everyone else’s baggage. Animals he can handle, but broken omegas running from danger? Not a chance. Yet the moment he lays eyes on the wary, pregnant man curled up in his barn, an instinct he’s never acknowledged roars to life. Yes, he’s closed off and more than a little rough around the edges—but something about Wesley’s vulnerability awakens a fierce protectiveness Zack never thought he’d feel again...and once he’s caught a whiff of the pups in Wesley’s belly, all bets are off.

Not what I thought it would be.

This story had me confused. I didn't know what century this took place in because Zack rides a horse into town for supplies. He doesn't have a car or an old beaten-up truck. He lives in his barn when his house is not far from the barn. There is no mention of a phone till the end. The biggest thing was no one mentions what animal they are only from the title of the book! To top it all off, it was boring till the last few chapters. A very disappointing book.

confused 🤔

I couldn’t tell what time era it was, because of how things were described or talked about. This was suppose to be a shifter book and never mentioned anything about shifters. Only thing that was a hint was him calling his baby cubs. So the book was decent just shouldn’t have been considered a shifter book.

Confused... and very frustrated...

What is the stories timeline? It seems like two weeks but then he progresses though he pregnancy? Why do they stay in the barn...if the house is only 100 yards away??? If they are shifters why does the story mention nothing about it? What happened with Thomas that makes him so scary and untouchable? Why have they not bathed or changed clothes? And for the love of cowboys... Why does he check his gosh dang fench every day!!!! There is no way the fence needs that much work unless it had been abandoned... also they never talk about anything meaningful... no heartfelt confessions, no trauma dumping... I read this whole book and still know nothing about this story. Other than Zack must have the best dang fence line in where ever the heck they live!!!
