Secrets abound in this scintillating, drama-fuelled novel about a love triangle between a multi-millionaire baseball star, his wife, and the groupie who’s trying to ruin their marriage—if a long-held secret doesn’t destroy it first.
Cheryl Blanton is married to a superstar baseball player who has won three Gold Gloves and recently signed a $120 million, ten-year contract with the New York Yankees. He’s wealthy and handsome, and all the groupies are after him, but Cheryl is gorgeous and her sex game has her man on lock. There’s just one little secret she’s been keeping from him: her husband doesn’t realize that she’s nine years his senior. And so far Cheryl’s had no problem hiding her age—her husband only has eyes for her. That is, until twenty-one-year-old Sexy Sanchez comes on the scene.
Sexy blatantly goes after Cheryl’s man, and a series of catfights ensue between them. Cheryl realizes she’s in the battle of her life to keep her man and plots to get rid of her nemesis. But when she hires a private investigator to dig up some dirt on Sexy, she discovers that getting rid of her rival might not be easy, and could also reveal some devastating secrets she’d rather keep to herself…
Hittin It Out the Park is filled with secrets and drama. This book is about a love triangle between a multi-millionaire baseball star, his wife, and the groupie who’s trying to ruin their marriage.
Allison Hobbs and Karen Quinones Miller definitely "hit it out of the park" with this one.
The characters are great and realistic The storyline line will hold your attention from the beginning to the end. I didn't want the book to end.
This is a storyline that Allison Hobbs and Karen Quinones Miller can take into a huge book series ( in my opinion)
If your a talented country bumpkin and come to the city, you need to read this book so you don't get played! Although I am originally from New York City, and now live in Alabama, please be assured that the Randy`s like described in the book are NOT here. matter of fact, they might had gave Sexy a serious run for her money. with that said, the book starts with a young Cheryl giving birth to a baby. fast forward to 2013, she's modelling, and on the lookout for someone with a little something extra($$). She literally bumps into a young fella named Randy who's country as all get out, with a country accent and jheri curl to boot. Unknown to him, he's being scouted to replace Alex Rodriguez with the New York Yankees, and they give him a $120 million dollar contract for 5 years. with a slight makeover, he becomes the hot new player, and grabs the attention of one young and fearless groupie, Sexy Sanchez, who doesn't stop at nothing, especially a wife to get what she wants, and its cat fights and brawls for Cheryl and Sexy. under all of this is some stuff that will explode in their faces if it goes in the wrong hands. while I liked the book, I was truly amazed at how gullible Randy was. I mean where we're the other teammates and mentors to be there for him? I liked Cheryl because I felt she loved him, but Sexy was an underrated thot that needed a serious Come to Jesus moment or a beat down. probably both. there were times I wanted to holler at Randy to wake the hell up and smell the coffee. Good read. I feel a sequel.
Allison and Karen brings it on home with a perfect balance of scandal, drama and sex.
Ain't I saying she a gold digger but Cheryl had psychic powers and saw what the future held when she met Randy. She kept him close, worked what her momma gave her and got him to put a ring on it before the dust could settle. Playing the part of the ride or die, she had his back all the way to the bank.
Karma always finds a way to bite you in the ass and the skeleton in the closet name is Sexy. Making a name of her own ruffles feathers intentionally and Sexy has no shame to her game. Drama unfolds in broad daylight but only Cheryl knows how the puzzle is truly put together.
I was looking for another Allison Hobbs and found this one. Yes, it held my interest and I read it in two days (stayed up late to finish it one night). The characters were over the top and scandalous, as usual, and kept me on the edge of my seat. Randy, though a sweet, naive man, was behaving so stupidly. If you had to break up a fight between your wife and another woman, why would you start hanging out with that woman? And why didn't Cheryl just tell everyone that Sexy was underage? That would have ended everything right there! She could have also revealed to Randy the truth about her being her daughter. He would not have continued living with her after that. I am not sure why Cheryl didn't try harder to get him back. I hate that the end left you hanging but I suppose there is a sequel and I will have to find it to see what happens!

Hittin' It Out the Park, Allison Hobbs, Karen E. Quinones Miller Genre: Women’s fiction. Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews I’ve read and enjoyed books described in a similar way to this in the Contemporary Romance genre and assumed that’s what this is. Well, it is and then again it isn’t. what really annoyed me though – and hopefully by publication ( I’m writing this ahead of publication date) is that it doesn’t tell us its a part story, and it wasn’t until I was in the 80-90% that I realised there was to be another book or books. I like that info before I start reading. Anyway it starts well where we meet Cheryl and Randy, and how quickly they fall in love. Then for me it quickly went downhill...I didn’t like how easily Randy was able to stray, how he could have sex with other women ( and I had no idea why on earth Cheryl organised that first time and agreed to more so long as she was there with them!!) From being to me a nice man, full of love, and very genuine Randy became frankly a sleaze...then when Sexy comes into the picture it gets worse... The secrets, especially the Big One, well I’d say it was too much coincidence to believe, but in fact very often truth is stranger than fiction, and this is fiction of course so I accepted it. Sexy really is a horrible person, but by the time we get to know her I’d decided I didn’t like Randy either and was in two minds about Cheryl. At least she has some excuse that what she did was a reaction to her background – she had a tough and cruel upbringing, but for Randy and Sexy there was no such leeway – they were just not pleasant people. Randy had no loyalty to Cheryl, his wife by then, despite professing his love for her, and Sexy, she’s just an out and out gold digger. Sadly for me I need to like my main characters, or at least the two in love, and this coloured how I felt about the novel. I felt sorry for Cheryl, she had tried to be everything for Randy even though she’s kept parts of her background secret but it just wasn’t enough. She’s done some dodgy things but did seem to have some semblance of a conscience. However I just had to keep reading to find out what would happen – its like car crash television or those magazines with trashy headlines, you just can’t look away. Still, the authors have written many novels individually and together, so even though this one doesn’t work for me clearly there’s a strong market for this sort of novel. Horses for courses as always . Stars: Two. Well, I hovered over three for a moment, as despite not liking it I had to keep reading, but then I thought – did I really want to invest more time in the story? And the answer is no so that’s why I’ve come down to a two. Others will love it and five star – as always reading tastes are subjective and this just isn’t one for me.
I've never read a book by either of these authors before even though I own a couple. I have also never read a book written by duel authors coming together to make one story, but these women combined their amazing writing skills and created a drama filled killer book! If you're into crazy side chicks, women who will stop at nothing to get a man, and sports, you're in for a real treat. "Hittin it Out the Park" follows Cheryl Alston who must deal with a new groupie, Sexy Sanchez, who will stop at nothing to ruin her marriage to wealthy baseball player, Randall Alston. As the story unfolds secrets about Cheryl and Sexy's past start to haunt them and both must decide what is more important to them before both of their lives are ruined. I have to start off by saying that even though this was a great read it made me extremely angry. Not at the writing style but at the characters. Sexy is the type of girl that I would never want to run into on the street, but knowing that women like this exist is probably what made me so upset. When I finished the book I wasn't sure who I was more upset with, Sexy or Randall. I'm upset with Sexy because she has the audacity to go after a married man even though she knows he is married. Her character reminded me a lot of Simone from Jessica Watkins' "Secrets of a Side Bitch" series because both Simone and Sexy will stop at nothing to get what they want. Granted, Simone took it way further than Sexy, the conniving things Sexy says and does make her character more realistic. Randall's character makes me more upset than Sexy's character. When men do things to disrespect a marriage, the wife always wants to go after the other woman, but your in a relationship with him not her so all the anger should be directed towards the disrespectful husband. This is why I don't like Randall's character. He disrespects the marriage, plain and simple. He prides himself on being an upstanding guy when really he's just a gullible, insecure boy who should stand by his wife no matter what! As an author it's your job to make us feel something for the characters and these ladies did just that. I don't think I've ever been more upset by the actions of fictional characters, so good job ladies! This story is filled with drama, sex, lies, and deceit, and it's one hell of a story! I can't wait to see what's in store for these two authors!
Thank you once again to Allison Hobbs and Karen Miller for taking a chance on me and sending me an advanced copy!
Lawd Cheryl got way more than she bargained for. I understood she was trying to help Randy but at the same time she neglected his feelings in everything. It was as if he just went with the flow to keep her happy. Randy was dumb on so many levels! He missed so many signs when dealing with Cheryl and Sexy. For him to be able to spot a gold digger, he sure got blinded by a bunch of bull! I was mad Cheryl felt the need to keep her past a secret once things started coming out. Oh wow, the doctor straight up lied! I must say I couldn't stand Sexy's fast ass! That heifer was doing the most! She didn't care what she had to do to snatch up someone that didn't belong to her. She always had some feedback and Randy's fell for it every time. I swear I wanted someone to knock some sense into his country ass! Sexy was smooth with her last play and definitely hit it out the park. I can't wait to find out what else happens because Cheryl is about to be back in the game and on the playing field. I wonder if Randy is realizing the mistake he's made when it's actually really his fault and a lot of things could've been avoided had he not been easily persuaded. Great job ladies!
What a collaboration! Allison and Karen did their thing with this 5 ⭐ read! Cheryl gave up a child for adoption, thinking it was a son. Come to find out it was a daughter who changed her name from Amanda to Sexy. She was definitely a gold-digger and a no-good young woman. It's sad how some men don't inquire about a woman's age before they get involved with them. Yusef and Randy(Cheryl's husband) definitely didn't ask Sexy her age before they got involved with her. Cheryl lost her husband to her daughter. Sexy is a very manipulative young woman. She managed to get a key made to Cheryl's and Randy's apartment to plant some birth control pills so she could have Randy to herself. It's amazing what some people will go through to ruin someone else's happiness because they are miserable. Randy has moved on with Sexy, but now Cheryl is pregnant. Allison and Karen can't let this book end like this! Please tell me there is going to be a second part!
Allison Hobbs and Karen Quinones Miller, the dynamic duo definitely "hit it out of the park" with this one. As American as apple pie these ladies took the innocent tradition of baseball and introduced groupies, sex, lies, secrets, and money and created a drama-filled concoction that will leave you on the edge of your seat. Then, when you add a “country bumpkin” from Eufaula Alabama, a gorgeous opportunistic model and a pinch of sexy to the mixture, you’ll have all the fixings for a firework display of epic proportions. You need to go out and get this book….believe me you will not be disappointed.
Cheryl Blanton does well as being a model but what women doesn't want more. Her life changes when she ends up marrying a baseball player worth 120 million. Determined to keep her man on lock and keep the groupies away she does all she can to keep him happy. She is confident in her relationship but all that changes when sexy Sanchez steps on the scene.
Sexy Sanchez takes pride in stealing your man and Cheryl's man is not off limits. When the prefect opportunity comes along for her to catch her mark she is on cloud nine. All that comes down when her secret has been revealed.
This book caught my attention from the first page. The characters were a mess in this one. Can't wait for part 2.
Comprised with drama, secrets & slick maneuvers, this book by Allison Hobbs & Karen E. Quinones Miller was an impressive read. Sexy Sanchez has shown she knows how to play the game, while Cheryl has proven the game is not over. A combination of well portrayed characters, great content, & a smooth storyline helped me complete this story in a few hours-- & looking forward to reading the next part. Recommended to all!
I loved and hated this book. Loved it because it was engrossing from start to finish, could not put it down. I hated it because I was so caught up into it I was practically angry at Randy the ENTIRE TIME! I seriously wanted to punch someone, book had me looking at my bf all weird wanting to hit him for no darn reason. I RARELY RATE BOOKS 5 STARS, but Ms. Hobbs you definitely deserved it!
I enjoyed this read. it was fast paced and it kept my attention. I did not like the ending because there were some secrets that needed to be revealed. I'm hoping for a part 2

I don’t know how I feel about this book. I don’t hate it but it’s not my favorite. I think I’m on the edge with this book because nobody learned anything from this entire story. No body, you guys better come out with a second book. This next book was a Zane Presents books and I got this book because one Allison Hobbs collaborated on it and two that cover looked freaking good. For me the story was not my favorite story but still a good story. The book of the week is Hittin’ it out the park by Allison Hobbs and Karen Miller. So, when you first meet this book you meet Cheryl Blanton and you read a bit of her backstory and her little secret by the way shouldn’t have really been a secret. She ends up meeting this up and coming baseball star, Randy who at first only has eyes for her. And the reason I said her secret was really secret because Randy loved her and I believed he would have loved her still if she just told the truth. Her secret ends up making her go above and beyond just to please him and the whole time I’m thinking why but because of her fears she doesn’t really see this next woman coming. Ms. Sanchez, yes, she goes by Sexy and this woman has no shame in her game. Oh, she goes way beyond a gold-digger. This woman targets men who she can benefit from. If your man is rich and ok looking, mainly rich she will take him with no regrets. She moves around a lot and comes upon the lovely Randy and Cheryl. Oh Sexy targets Randy and Cheryl notices it and that’s when the tide starts to change. The book got a little interesting for them because then you start to see this war between Cheryl and Sexy over Randall and you just must read it to see who won that one and I got to say not my favorite ending. The mid ending of the story was good because that one I didn’t see coming, but that ending leaves you with a cliffhanger that I wished they would have just kept the story going and ended it there because now I’m wondering. I mean there were even more secret left behind and no one has said anything, I mean come on. The story telling was ok and I just thought it would be better. I have never read a Karen book but I could see a bit of Allison in this book.
That damn Sexy is something else. I This book was good!!! Wow! I could not wait until the end to see what happened. To then discover there will probably be a part 2. Can't wait for it to come out though.
