Have you ever been Anxious? Like when going out on a date or preparing for an interview? Well take a second and think about that feeling, then double it, then think about getting that feeling when going to the grocery store or writing a paper. Image getting that feeling every time that someone can see or judge you. That's what this book shows. The book "Anxiety Disorders" by Bruce Hyman describes and gives real life examples on what it's like to have different disorders associated with anxiety. He includes ODC, Social Phobia, PTSD, Acute Stress Disorder, GAD, and Panic Disorder. This book shows that sometimes people can struggle with the simplest of tasks. This book interested me because I have GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder) and I wanted to understand the disorder and many others that are associated with it. I Thought this book would go more in depth with the diseases and the issues that come with them, however it seemed to only display fictional stories about people with the disorders and included random magazine articles which wasn't at all what I though this book would entail. I wouldn't recommend this book to people wanting to learn about the disorders, but I might recommend it to people who enjoy short stories. Its a super short read and will give you a little entertainment, however it will not educate you on the disorders. If you like short stories, this might just be the book for you!
