I think that the book was pretty good. My only complaint is that they kind of do the same thing in the book. The book doesn't go anywhere exciting. It did get a little interesting in some parts but it never really caught my attention. I wish it had been more exciting.
*SPOILERS*
The book started with them in the dark forest. They were pretty much in the forest the whole time. Later on as they were traveling a guard found them and they were captured. When they were in jail they kept hearing noises. Then Luis came and saved them. Then they kept running and hiding for the rest of the book.
It was another great book in the series of six! Definitely read all six books in order or else the won’t make sense. They say they are 6th grade level to 8th grade level but I am in 5th grade and they were easy to read. I loved the part where the Kiana children wanted to bring the big pumpkin back but it was just to big! Also I didn’t expect Lewis was the one who left the soup! I love the series!
