On his way to join friends for lunch Private Investigator, Dev Haskell spots a little girl on a tricycle about to go into a busy street. He pulls to a stop just in time to stop her and then knocks on doors with her searching for her home. Her desperate mother is out searching for the child who escaped from the backyard and eventually they're reunited and Dev has two very special new friends. Meanwhile he's helping a woman he knew back in grade school, Cee Cee O'Hara, who leads a rather 'colorful career.' Add to that Chicago gangster 'Soapy' Rector and the adult entertainment club, Tarte Jolie and things are about to get crazy. Former DEA agent, Russell 'Yucky' Yates provides some assistance and gangster, thug, Tony Roe makes life difficult for just about everyone. Another Dev Haskell tale you're bound to love!Faricy is America's hottest new mystery writer and Dev Haskell is one of the looniest and most enjoyable characters inhabiting the world of fictional private investigators out there today.

I was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, I still live there as well as in Dublin, Ireland. I've been a soldier, freelance journalist, tended bar, sold designer cakes, owned a painting and decorating company along with a number of other schemes and scams. If that doesn't offend you I also play bagpipes with the Brian Boru Irish Pipe Band. All my books stand alone, read them in whatever order you wish. They are filled with the sort of oddballs we are all curious about, but wisely, prefer to keep at a distance. None of my characters will be saving the world from terrorism, international banking conspiracies or coups to take over the government. Rather, they inhabit a world just below the surface of polite society, characters with one foot on either side of the law. The circumstances they find themselves in are usually due to bad decisions, but bad decisions lead to interesting stories. They serve not so much as an example but as a warning to us all. Thanks for taking the time, happy reading.

Heart-warming, funny, and all we need to see how touching and kind Dev is to this mother and her daughter. Morton is at his best being Morton. Louie, Tubby, and Fatty round out another lively story that begs for more. Highly Recommended.

Trike Traffic by prolific, talented mystery writer Mike Faricy delivers an entertaining, fun-filled mystery. His characters remain the same, supplying the reader with wisdom, humor, and, most of all, amusing dialogue.

Traffic begins as our hero, Dev Haskell, private eye, rescues a three-year-old on a tricycle attempting to cross a major intersection. Like the good citizen he is, Haskell rescues the child and returns the child to her mother. Enter the ever-lurking local mob, boss Tubby Gustafson. To operate his business, Haskell is at the beck and call of Gustafson, who has a long reach. The job is determining who operates an after-hours club without Gustafson's permission. This sounds straightforward, but the reader sees Haskell turning up more dirt under more rocks than anticipated. Haskell's partner, Louis, his officemate and lawyer, is present throughout the book, as well as Haskell's loyal dog, Morton, and his cat, Princess. The readers are introduced to a new character, who is also a private eye, who assists Dev in bringing the book to a favorable conclusion.

Faricy is an old hand who supplies the reader with entertaining, laugh-out-loud, and old-fashioned fun. A reader cannot do any better than read all his books. Faricy is one of my favorite writers who always delivers the goods.

I always look forward to reading the new Dev Haskell book. Dev saves a little girl from riding her bike into the street. Her single mother is very grateful. Could it be time for Dev to settle own? Stay tuned. Meanwhile, Tubby wants him to find out who stole some money from from one of his establishments. Turns out, Tubby already knew who did it. What is that all about?

Another great book by one of my favorite authors.

Consistently funny and attention getting. Love all the returning characters, both human and animal.

Always a good read!

A nice little change of pace for Dev Haskell, complete with a twist and a different side of our hero. Truly enjoyed.

Always a great story! I love the familiarity of the characters and how they all fit together. Yet they aren't repetitive. My favorite series.
