Ashley always writes stories that stick with you. There will always be tragedy. I was literally tearing up on by page 25. This book was all about realizing that two things can be true. I thought this story would focus more of Lauren and Ny but this was more so a continuation of navigating grief for Lauren and Demi. I don’t think I’ll ever like Charlie or Demi. I felt bad for them but they’re both selfish and to an extent choose themselves over everyone else. In this book, Charlie specifically. Honestly, this story was just sad. I hate that Lauren always has to be the bigger person at the end of the day. I really like Grayson.
There was a mixup of characters. There were parts that felt a little inconsistent, specifically DJs body. They fought over it, agreeing that he would be cremated then we got to the funeral and he was being buried.

I dislike every character in this series. Every last one of them. lol. This is a drama filled series that shows all sides of a story. And how both sides can be right and wrong at the same time. I flip flopped so many times on who was right. This author does well with driving a plot and keeping you interested. But I still want this to end. I like for issues to get resolved and nothing else come up. These people aren’t real so their story needs to end.
Even with my strong dislike for these characters, they stick with you. I have been rolling my eyes and shaking my head every time I think about this book.
Please understand, I love the author. But I hate these chumps in the book.

Wow! Wow! Wow! So much to unpack here. My hearts breaks for All involved with failing poor DJ. His parents failed him dramatically! I hope Bird is able to carry her baby to term and deliver a healthy baby. Finally, I hope Demi and Day is ok. Demi has to pull through this!! I know in my bones that “wannabe industry” chic is the culprit for Day being unreachable!
Ps I will NEVER tire of the Good Pastor and I am so grateful for our Girl Lo! She deserves All that LOVE he’s giving her and MORE!

Babbbbyyyyyy Ashley Antoinette knows she can write a book. There are so many twists and turns. My heart was beating so fast throughout this book. Read it all in a day because I was too nosey to see how it all played out. Mouth hung wide open in the end. I can't wait for the next book.

Let me tell ya'll something...... Ashely is gone Ashley if she don't do anything else meaning the woman knows how to write an emotional, thought provoking book. I always find myself questioning choices her characters make in a book. It's real easy for someone to say what they will and won't do from the outside looking in. The way Ashley understands the grief process is so surreal. I felt everything Lo was going through processing her grief. I've been there and everything was spot on. Check your trigger warnings before reading this series. Also, WTF no one told me this series isn't complete. This woman left me dangling off this cliff and I don't like it.

Of course, it leaves on a cliffhanger when things hit the fan 😩.
Ngl, Charlie annoyed me. I get that her feelings are her feelings, and rightfully so, she can feel how she feels, but the way she went about things was so embarrassing. I’m a Leo myself, so I understand being territorial and a little selfish, but she made everything about her at the absolute wrong time. Read the room, sis.
Now, Demi was moving wrong too, so I do get Charlie’s stance to a degree. But at the same time… that man is grieving and full of regret, and them two together is just not a pretty sight. It’s giving emotional collision with no airbags.
I love me some Nyair. Like really love him. I actually like him and Lauren together, and I’m hoping they get it together because I see the potential and I’m rooting for them.
Day stresses me. I like him, but he got to get it together. He says one thing but moves opposite, and I don’t like that. Stand on business or beat your feet, my guy. No in between.
I’m tryna see how things are gonna play out for Stassi. I need more of her, period. She feels like one of those characters that’s about to shake things up, and I’m waiting.
I also like Greyson. He definitely gives a grown man with his grown man job lol. It’s a refreshing sight.
And let’s talk about the audio for a second because Wesleigh Siobhan narrating made this series so much better. She really brought the characters to life and added to the emotions in a big way. Her ability to switch voices like that is just top tier.
All in all, I’m invested, annoyed, stressed, and entertained. I’m gonna need Ashley Antoinette to hand over book four.

Whew!
Birds of a Feather was a lot! I hate that it ended on a cliffhanger and now I wonder when the next book is coming out!

I still LOVE Nyair! Even in his confusion I hope that he and Lauren really last! He’s definitely a Book Bae!!!
Demi and Day both drive me crazy!!! And the way that Demi pushed Charlie away during the heavy times was wild, but I understood both sides - but definitely should’ve been handled better!
Ohhh Charlie - there are so many cringy parts for her! Her character is like looking back at your younger self and cringing at the way you handled things when you thought you knew it all, but really didn’t know nothing! I feel for her in many ways, but also hated the way she acted in a lot of situations!
Demi and Charlie are an example of a couple that sometimes love each other too much it becomes toxic! I hope in the next book their love matures and stops being so explosive!
I’m rooting for Stassi and Greyson! Mr. Fireman has my vote!!! Although she will probably end up with Day - but if this happens I hope he gets his stuff together!

Real life is messy. Sometimes too much resolution is unbelievable. If this was gonna be a 4th book, why are Charlie and Lo friendly, where is the animosity. Idgaf about Demi. He is such a dog Idc if he dies or not. Not a good cliffhanger. He was a terrible husband. His age gap with Bird pissed me off. Bird pissed me off. She was selfish. She shoulda just let that man and his ex grieve. But she is young and dumb. Their love is toxic and he too grown to move the way he moved. The first two books were great. This was repetitive and fell flat. Charlie had no business crashing the funeral. She wanted attention.
And she aint no better than her step mom. Lo was grieving. A mom losing a child is big. She wouldn’t have time to entertain Charlie and her foolishness. The characters are soooo unlikable I dont care to read book four. Like what warrants another book. Idgaf about Day. Stassi was boring. I skipped most her parts. I just want Lauren’s HEA

First of all…that ending though! Lauren and Demi both got on my nerves throughout this book real bad! I was glad that Charlie finally stood her ground with him. She is so dependent on him for functioning and I was glad she finally realized it. I keep questioning if her and Demi are going to be able to make it because their love is just so toxic. I feel like Demi keeps saying he’s in love with Charlie but his actions say that he’s more in love with Lauren. And Lauren’s bitterness kills me. I get her anger but she just does too much at times.
I don’t know what I want to happen between Anastassia and Day. I don’t really know how I’m feeling about her and the whole firefighter Grayson. I don’t trust him.

Another OMG! kinda story
She’s doing it to us again y’all! Another deep, thought out story line that pulls you right in. Connects you to the characters like you know them personally! Got me laughing, crying and praying for these people! Brought back some soldiers from earlier stories—- I LIKE that! My “book husband” showed his face a few times in this story! Woooo Chile! If only Alani knew how I felt about her husband! —lol!!!
PLEASE don’t make us wait too long for the next book! Left me hanging at the end! I’ll be thinking about, rooting for, and praying for Demi until I can find out how he’s doing! Can’t wait to see what happens with Lauren, Stassi and Charlie! Oh! - and Day! OMG!!

When I started the series Charlie got on my nerves so bad i didn’t want finish. I made the mistake to read the preview of book two to see if they were focusing on other characters which they seem like they did. I was like hummm ok let see what’s in store for book 3 🤦🏾♀️ big mistake this info had me crying all through the last chapters of book 2. I really thought book 3 was the series finale 😒. Charlie is immature, self centred and insecure. Pastor Nayer reallllllyyyyy need his ownnnnnnnnn boook !!!! Overall this book is packed with rawwwww emotions.

I didn’t want a cliffhanger I didn’t see one coming lol. Now I just have to wait to see hows everything is connected and how it comes together. I don’t particularly care for the MFC she’s a little selfish and needed. I get that we’re using her age as a factor but yeah no. I’m still not sure on how I feel about Charlie sister. These three books kept me on the edge of my seat. Really toxic really messy felt with heartache and pain. Grief and loss. It so much to unpack it’s a must read 10/10

This installment was the best of the series so far………it could have easily been 5 stars if Charlie didn’t make me so sick. I didn’t expect a cliffhanger or another installment but here we are. And I’m so happy. I need to know what happens. So good and well-written. Definitely read it!

"Birds of a Feather"
I've been reading Ashley Antoinette books for years, even since with Jaquavis, and this series by far is the best books and my favorite! Didn't think the "Butterfly series could be topped, but I was certainly wronged with this one! Thank you Ashley for another great mini series. Can't wait till the continuation!

Ashley really makes me feel like an addict. The emotional distress this woman puts me through! Every time I say I’m not doing it to myself again, I do! To know this wasn’t the last book of the series has me a bit on edge lol! On to the wait lol
