Torn apart by doubt and disillusionment, Swiss pastor Thomas Wenger leaves his parish and embarks on a unique journey of faith by serving the broken and destitute on Zurich’s streets. Thomas finds friendship, purpose, a renewed faith … and Leah, the unlikely love of his life.

Living in a remote Nepali village, Dipak Badi’s family suffers severely as members of the caste formerly called The Untouchables. Though poverty and sickness are daily threats, Dipak never gives up hope that his daughters Prisha and Saraya will someday know a better future.

When tragedy strikes and Saraya is trafficked to a brothel in India, Thomas, who by then has become friends with her family, is forced to make a decision that will forever change all of their lives…

Spanning three decades and two continents, Scars of Gold is the inspiring story of an ordinary pastor whose small world forever changes as he encounters God through those on the margins of society.
