Not as good as the original

Being clear, this is a great book, written by an authority on the subject. You can rely on every smidgen of information. However, it is written for the novice, and is not the continuation of the first volume with new content added. If you want to know about your new rifle, get this book. If you want more detailed information, but volume one. To be fair to the author,he said this in the description, but I just had to have it. Mr Sweeney give excellent advice; follow it and enjoy.

Very useful reference book for the new owner starting out (like me). i appreciated the tips and insights, particularly where not to fall into the traps of shortcuts. I only dropped a star because I would have appreciated an approach that was laid out a little more concisely at parts. It is designed as a step by step guide and doesn't seem to lend itself well to jumping in mid stream.

Basic knowledge for the newbie

This is a good get to know the terms and basic construction of the subject type of book. I really enjoyed reading and getting to know about these rifles.

Nothing new or earth shattering. Seems everyone has the next best take on the AR platform. Seems like most authors are sponsored by gun related companies, or you would thing by the way the promote specific items.
When will someone actually publish an every person type of book with practical and affordable options for those of us who have other financial obligations besides spending 2000.00 on today's next best rifle scope.
Seriously frustrating, this book even suggests purchasing a gun smithing kit that costs over 1200.00. Really?
For you out there that have unlimited resources to spend on firearms, kudos to you, for the majority of us, keep looking one day someone will actually put their gun pride aside and offer reasonable options and suggestions for enjoying a fun hobby.
