I have received this book from the author - Subho - not for reviewing. Not that he mentioned of any. So the late.

I have known the author for some now. We had been infrequently in contact and from what I know of his writing, it is no boring stuff. Though I was no mood to read a Contemporary novel about love and IT industry - especially IT industry - I decided to give it a read for the author witticism which I had come to see in his writing ever since............................ (Read the whole review on my blog.)

So I read It finally.
Well, if you are expecting a review on it then, I am sorry that I can't give you one.

Because I am still confused from where to start with.

It was magical, I read it in a single go. Three hours, that to in my office (but, thankfully not an IT one), I flipped pages ditching the former ones. Every time I turned the next page, I was more excited to know what happened next. The more the number of pages I flipped, the more I had drawn in towards the story.

Those transitions, those half ended part, those descriptions, those conversations, all of them were catchy.

However it was a fiction, but every part was truer than ever. Mudrika, Richa, Pritam, Ali, Subho, Gautam-Ananya, I could read, they were all lively characters. Even Gautam's father (I wished, he was mine). Even the negative characters Gajendra, Sahil, Michel, Samir, everyone.

And the best part was, Sometimes I have presumed what will happen next, but all my assumptions got drained, when I read what actually happened in the story.

“Sometimes, to sustain in this world we do what we have to do, not what we love to do. Sometimes, We sacrifices things for someone. Sometimes, we got paid for those sacrifices we have made and we fall in love with a wrong person, at wrong time, at wrong place. But no matter how hard 'IT HURTS', those wrong things make everything right. Rather flawlessly right.” I could conclude.

*Beyond the story what I liked the most, was the name of the chapters. Those were so humorously taken.*

I have told you, I was one of those stargazing fan of yours.
You have always been my inspiration.
And Mahi congratulations to you too.
Its a blockbuster and I want a part two (If Possible)

P.S:- So What should I call u now? Bhai Or Sir?
and thank you for finding me worth to fit in Acknowledgement

Most of the popular Indian fiction suffers from bad writing and stupid & stereotypical stories. I expected it to be the same; but, to my surprise, Subhasis Das ( I call him Subhi :p ) writes well

Indeed my first book.. I read of this author ( in-lure of ordering all your books until now).He knows how to capture the subtle details of reality and how to cast the spell of a character’s internal monologue to make characters come alive. For a book of read-and-throw genre, that’s a remarkable thing.

IT Hurts (better titles please?) is story of the story of two lives-one weary and the other bubbly. How they meet!! What relation they exchange... And what they venture about life. (Gauti’s character, life, and monologue is beautifully narrated and well captured.)

P.S:- Thank you for finding me worth to fit in the Acknowledgement!!

Honestly I didn't have much expectations initially. But it was written by a friend so thought of giving it a try. It is a refreshing and light hearted read.. Enjoyable and fresh.. I hate the sleezy contemporary sex only books but this one has no sex and a nice story.. The story is not too unique but it is nice n the narrative is also nice. The characters are realistic so do the situations. Overall a lighthearted n mood refreshing read.

I found the book worth reading. Could relate a lot with the corporate politics myself as I am also working in the IT industry.
The book is very well written though I think the end could have been a little better. over all worth spending time in reading the book
