Raising Godly Children

Rate this book
Some people lay up money, houses, clothes, cars and other possessions as an inheritance for their children. But the only way to preserve the coming generation is to raise our children the godly way today. Gods purpose for giving you children is not only for replenishing and filling up the earth, but because He is seeking a godly seed. A child is like plasticine - soft, pliable and mouldable. He must be moulded skilfully and tenderly to become a battle-axe in the hand of God. In this jet age, Faith Oyedepo cries out that a good Christian upbringing is the greatest legacy parents can leave behind for their children.

I was praying about one of my children during a season of fasting and the Holy Spirit prompted me to read this book. From the very beginning the author’s practical biblical steps were like light shinning through darkness for me. I found that I was hilighting almost every line. This book is a simple read with very clear, easy, biblical principles to be applied to the day to day raising of our children. I know the author’s children. They are living proof of what she is writing. Every mother who is a believer ought to read this book if they want peace later on.

This is the best book that I have read so far on how to be a good parent. I so wish that every parent or parent-to-be should read and re-read this book. It has a wealth of practical advice that can help all parents to do their best. Failure to parent children properly is a terrible sickness that shows in the 'over-flooding' of prisons and all kinds of social ills in the world today. The complication is that there are no schools where people get trained on parenting. Many parents, therefore, repeat the same mistakes which their parents made (that is if they had parents at all). For this reason, this book is a must read for every serious parent and parent-to-be, every teacher and every counselor.
