EGG, EGG, EGG! is a cute board book celebrating eggs in everyday life. The book is told in rhyme, beginning with a chicken and then discussing the ways that we enjoy eggs by eating them with breakfast - and other meals too. The book ends by saying good night to the chicken and asking for another tomorrow.

What I loved: The rhyming nature of the book makes this a really fun one to read aloud and listen to. Little ears will enjoy the rhythm and sounds of the story. The die-cut pages add to the fun with little peek-throughs and cute details throughout. Bright colors and simple illustrations also work well for little readers. The story is simple and brings the concepts of eggs into the house - with the food being eaten. Children will appreciate being able to relate to the story with their own egg-eating experiences.

Final verdict: EGG, EGG, EGG! is a cute and rhyming board book that will work well for young toddlers, celebrating eggs and the food we enjoy.

Please note that I received an ARC. All opinions are my own.

Cheerful rhyming lines and bright artwork in this board book offer an accessible introduction to eggs as might be guessed from its title. What makes this one different from the typical book is its peek-through pages and its focus on the delights of eating an egg, whether soft-boiled or fried, and the gratitude owed to that nesting chicken who just might provide another egg for tomorrow's meals.

Eggs go from being laid to being enjoyed for a meal. I appreciate the intentional cut out designs when they work or blend in on the next page. Very sturdy cardboard, so the cutouts won't get ripped.

We read this one 25 times minimum. Hud loved this one, which makes sense because his dad eats 6 eggs a day!
