My attraction to Miss Peters becomes impossible to fight, and during our business trip to the South of France, I recklessly let my guard down. I’m quickly reminded why I can never fall in love when my deeply buried secret becomes unearthed.

Likely my favorite in the series! (spoilers)
Spoiler free: if you’ve read the other books in the West Coast Suits series, this is the glimpse into Miles we’ve all been waiting for. If you haven,t read them, it’s a good place to start too (stand alone). I would definitely recommend this book if you like grumpy x sunshine, banter, cute dogs, and spice. (There’s plenty of sweet along the way too.)
Spoilers ahead: I don’t know where to begin other than to say this is my favorite of the West Coast Suits series. Sloane is a fierce heroine who captures your heart from the first few pages (as does Sofi 💛). The immediate confrontation with Miles starts the book off in an unexpected journey towards their unlikely forever. I felt like the path they embarked on was full of interesting twists and turns with lots of banter, laughter, spice, and sweetness along the way. It was really easy to fall in love with these characters. It was worth the wait to meet them all.

Sloane has been put through the ringer and all she wants is to work on her career and to spend time with her dog Sofi. She meets a brassy alpha male who hates dogs and kicks them out of his restaurant. Miles has spent time alone trying to heal but he must forgive himself first for the past he feels he caused. When he meets sassy and explosive Sloane, he is not sure what to feel or think but he feels alive for the first time in years. I absolutely love this story, and I could not put it down. It is a story of second chances, forgiveness and letting yourself live again. This book had me feeling all the feels and I am seriously in love with Sofi.
