Insider Secrets Your Guidance Counselor Won't Tell And Colleges Hope You Never Learn: Compete Against the Best Schools Without Going to One, Avoid a Worthless Degree, and Prevent Crushing Loan Debt

Rate this book
What if there was a way to hold colleges accountable for student outcomes?

Colleges get paid tuition up front, and when students cannot find a job or are underemployed as coffee shop baristas, those same colleges are very quick to let you know that it's not their responsibility.

College is the one place where the amount of tuition money invested has little to no impact on student outcomes.

If you invest $200k into the stock market, would you get a better total return than a $20k investment?

The same does not hold true for a college education.

Many pricey private colleges have four-year costs over $200k while giving students no better earnings outcomes than colleges that cost 80% less.

Colleges are laughing their way to the bank by charging their tuition upfront regardless of students' ability to repay.

After graduation, many colleges will return students to their parents' basements with a worthless degree and crushing debt.

These students then have to put off moving out, postpone buying a house, and delay starting a family because their college degrees don't pay enough for them to cover their student loans and independence.

Does any of this sound remotely fair?

In "Insider Secrets Your Guidance Counselor Won't Tell and Colleges Hope You Never Learn," you'll

“Insider Secrets Your Guidance Counselor Won't Tell and Colleges Hope You Never Learn” by Randall Sing is a practical guide that challenges conventional thinking regarding higher education. I currently have a son enrolled in a 4-year college, so this topic and book caught my attention. I agree with Sing’s view on how expensive degrees often fail to guarantee better job prospects or higher earnings. I’ve known several individuals without degrees who make more money and/or have better career paths than those with college degrees, and they don’t have the student debt to pay off either. I appreciated his advice on selecting cost-effective colleges, choosing majors that are resilient to automation, and acquiring skills that employers value. He emphasizes the importance of internships, networking, and practical experience over attending elite institutions. As my son will be graduating with some student debt, I found the strategies for managing this very informative and valuable. I would highly recommend this book for students, parents, and educators seeking to make informed decisions about higher education.

Insider Secrets by Randall Sing is a very informative book for selecting a handsome career path after getting educated. The author provides strategies to compete with students from elite schools without going to it. It is not essential to get an education from rich institutes, what matters the most is the skills we possess. He also guides you to select a suitable degree that can reward you in the future instead of choosing one that cannot even pay off the debts that you have taken during your education.

The students have to postpone their plans of getting financially stable because they do not have much money to avail these benefits. He guides you to select the right career path by attending proper internship programs, selecting a recruiter, and choosing the job according to your skill set. It is a must-read for having a bright future

This book pulls no punches when it comes to exposing the flaws, in the college system, which I know are many. I really appreciate how it challenges the idea that expensive schools guarantee better career outcomes. While I don't think college is for everybody, I think we all should know colleges should focus on teaching transferable skills and making sure your degree actually works for you. Of course I understand there are fields where name recognition matters, but overall, I think it is ultimately the student's part to take control of their future, just using the resources universities provided.

Before committing to any tuition bill, I would heavily suggest taking a look at this.
