My favorite volume. It was the anime’s ending episode—a fitting conclusion—but a waypoint in the manga.

I enjoyed the nostalgic stroll through Kazuhiro’s childhood, the mangaka’s love for Ms. Elf, and the hint of a future mystery involving the grandfather. The first kiss was the highlight, handled with just enough whimsy and romance. Just perfect.
