Locked Away: Stolen Innocence

Rate this book
Little Chrissy had it all: a mother she thought loved her more than life itself, and a father that doted on her. That is, until the night her mother abandoned her. With her mother gone, her father's life spiraled downward. And when it did, so did hers. He kept her locked up in her bedroom which became her little prison cell. When her father left town, he'd lock her in the tiny cellar with only the hot water heater for companionship. And, even worse, Chrissy was the unwilling victim of repeated rapes.

Excerpt:
His nose flared and his eyes blazed with anger. The man came closer. He raised a hand and backhanded me across my face. The pain exploded through my cheek. At the same time my legs folded beneath me and I crumpled to the floor.

From the floorboards, I looked up and saw my stepmother’s hang-out buddy standing over me. Out of desperation I tried to bargain with him. “If you go now, I promise I won’t say anything about you being in here.”

There is a light at the end of the tunnel

I liked and disliked the book because I know first hand what molestation and rape is all about for me and for the ones I've read about. What don't kill them made them stronger they had resilience and I appreciate that I am also a product of molestation and rape but I made it through I have four wonderful children 18 beautiful grandchildren and two great-grandchildren so I say that I am very blessed to be a survivor and not a victim and it reminds me that there are people out there that are going through pretty much the same thing I went through and made it and I'm very proud of those that did for those that didn't I will continue to pray for them

Unbelievable!

I have read many books regarding child abuse, but this one takes the cake!! It makes me sick to think about what the poor victims have had to endure, and I can do nothing to help! I am really not certain that I can continue to read this type of book again! Thanks though, for making it available so others can be made aware of what really goes on in this horrible world!

Touching

Out of the entire trilogy (which I bought as a bundle deal) this is the best written, most believable, and most touching story of them all.
