This is such a great book!!!! I absolutely love the plot, the characters, the romance, and the humor!! This really did crack me up in parts!! And the spice people!!! Phew!!!! It is a spicy book!!! But definitely check your triggers, as you always should. This touches on some serious topics as well as real life struggles that can be upsetting to some.

I really adored our mmc, Adam, as he was strong and yet sweet. Funny, and tender at the same time, and Daisy is a fmc that grows into her own. I love a character that grows and becomes something amazing right before our eyes. Love it!!! And we get updates on our other Pacific Northwest characters from the first two novels.

I will say that you do not have to have read the other two to appreciate this one as it can stand alone. There may be a few references that are missed, but nothing major. Now if you do plan to read the others, you should probably dive into those first because there are major spoilers for the first two in this installation.

So, needless to say, I highly recommend this one as a great contemporary romance that has some great spice, some laughs, and heart!!!! 🥰🥰🥰 as previously mentioned, do check triggers, but otherwise enjoy this sweet read!!

And thank you so much to the author for the opportunity to read and review this for my unbiased opinion!!!

Book 3 of A Pacific Northwest Love Series

What a “wildfire” of a read. I absolutely loved this book. Adam, a firefighter and absolutely swoon worthy has that big D*** energy my usual dark romance heart loves. He is possessive and loving all at the same time. A blunt, innuendo filled personality! I love it. Daisy is a runner and falls for Adam eventually! I love the slow burn build of their relationship even with the two villains trying to ruin that!
Enter Pam with the “rotation” and not taking no for an answer! Girl Bye! Giles….. I have a lot to say about Giles but we will just say I wanted to jump into the pages and ☠️ him!

Even when everything did go to sh** I had my fingers crossed for these two!

I loved the intensity and spice in this book. Shannon brought it in this book and I loved every bit of it! I was mad and sad and giggled and gasped a few times!

The book was okay, but I did not like Adam. His personality and over inflated ego was kind of annoying to me. Was a turn off in a big way. He isn’t the type of man I’d want personally. But I didn’t hate the book. Just don’t think it was for me.

Daisy and Adam pulled me in initially as characters, but I had a hard time with how they handles most of the situations that earned the books trigger warnings. for me there were many cringy scenes and reactions, and almost seemed like too many things were forced into the book to create the "twists".

⚠️Trigger Warnings ⚠️

Body Image/Eating Disorder Abusive Relationship (Mentally) Slight Voyeurism Sexual Assault Stalking Depression Severe Burns and Injury Swearing Wildfire This book is intended for mature 18+ audiences

📝My Review📝 In Shannon Morses’ new novel “Stop, Drop, and Run”, the beloved character Adam finally gets his chance to shine. This novel navigates the era of the characters’ coming of age while entering the stage of the work/life after education. While others around Adam are finding their truth, path, and person, Adam is faced with the challenges of “growing up” and transitioning. Grieving the past relationships while supporting and growing with those relationships into the next era. Adam has a heart of gold and is ready to follow his friends’ footsteps in finding his own person beyond their trio.

When he finds his wildfire, the chemistry is electric making the reader “ship” the relationship right way. However, Adam discovers that he is not the only one with his eyes on her. Daisy, his wildfire, is a dedicated runner with a chance for a successful running career after college. Manipulated by a teammate that portrays romantic interest and career guidance, Daisy has entered a dangerous line of navigating maintaining healthy relationships, good health, and a successful career. Meeting her handsome firefighter, Adam, has been life changing both in the bedroom and out of the bedroom. Adam is the person who maintains the fire within her, but in a way that supports her whole heartedly.

Through their growing relationship, the couple is faced with a multitude of trials and challenges. As a reader, I did appreciate the reality and representation of mental health and grief throughout the story. With one particular challenge, I wanted to see it grow a bit more as I wanted more character interaction and development. However, another challenge I was not quite expecting, but it was very realistic and true to the storyline. Looking back I was in denial that something like this situation would occur. The raw emotions and realistic plot points truly tugged on the heart strings,
The pace and writing were executed in an engaging and entertaining format. Yet, a few times throughout the story’s contour there were repetitive phrases or statements that felt over used. When I read these phrases or statements, it made me view the character in an annoying way for a brief moment in the plot. This reaction did not minimize my enjoyment in the storyline, characters, and/or overall satisfaction with the novel.

After reading this, the reader will be stalking firehouses looking for a firefighter who will make them wither and burn with pleasure . Adam truly sets the bar high.

Book 3 of A Pacific Northwest Love Series
Written By: Shannon Morse

Overall: 3.8/5
Overall plot: 3.75/5

Pace: 4/5

Spice 🌶️: 2.5/5

Thank you, Shannon, for allowing me to be a part of your ARC team and read Stop, Drop & Run ahead of its release date.

Daisy White is a standout cross-country and track star who is sweet, caring and a bit naive to the whole relationship and feelings thing.

Adam Babcock on the other hand is a charismatic playboy of the UW Delta Tau Delta fraternity, firefighter and THE bachelor extraordinaire and is now feeling a little left out now that his buddies have coupled off and wants to find someone of his own.

There’s an instant attraction between the two but with Daisy’s commitment and overbearing and controlling team leader, it takes a little for Daisy to realize what’s happening is not ok and what Adam is offering might just be what she’s looking for. Adam on the other hand is completely reformed after meeting Daisy. Nobody else will do it for him.

The banter is absolutely hilarious when Adam will say anything to make Daisy blush and makes it his life mission to do so as often as possible. Daisy on the other hand has this grounding presence for him and them navigating their feelings is cute.

The twists in the book are used very interestingly and I can see how it serves its purpose but maybe I’m just spiteful but how Giles was handled in the end was not remotely enough - it felt like a slap on the hand. If what happened to Daisy was a real situation, I’d make sure that never happened to anyone ever again and now that he’s basically given a top spot in his family’s company and he can do it again. The ending felt rushed.

Fast paced, easy read and the banter in the scenes feel natural and loved that Adam’s friends all took Daisy in as part of their found family. Love that it took Adam getting jealous to get his act together.

Favorite Quote: “We were like two pieces of Velcro, always meant to be together, and without her, I felt incomplete.”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Adam & Daisy

This is the first time I’ve read Shannon Morse. While Stop Drop and Run is the 3rd in the Pacific Northwest Love Series, there was enough detail and backstory to make it a seamless stand-alone. I enjoyed Adam & Daisy’s story. The depth and emotional turmoil these two experience throughout the book are as honest as they are heartfelt. Shannon’s insight into sports, running, and athletes is knowledgeable, giving her characters important realism.

👟Daisy’s struggles as an athlete are real and relatable. Her battle with body image, insecurities, and an abusive, passive-aggressive trainer are heartbreaking. It’s not until she meets Adam and his friends that Daisy begins to recognize the damage being done to her body, her mind, her spirit. Exposure to Adam’s group gives Daisy an opportunity to observe healthy relationships, expanding her limited experiences from just school and training.

🚒Once an incredible flirt, Adam does something so unlike him: he falls in love with Daisy. He is completely committed to her, supporting her running career. Unfortunately, a severe accident while fighting wildfires injures Adam. Struggling with the burns, the repeated surgeries, and the rehab therapy, Adam is barely holding on.

Daisy will need to find the strength to take back her independence, and Adam will have to move beyond his fears so that he can be the man to love Daisy forever.

We’ve got bad boy Adam who is a firefighter but still holds onto his playboy reputation from a fraternity at the University of Washington. He used to love that reputation… and fully upheld his ‘unicorn’ status that girls looked forward to experiencing…if you know what I mean.

He was a point in his life where he did feel lonely, watching all of his friends couple off and he wanted to find someone to settle down with. Enter Daisy who is a very dedicated and determined runner at the University of Washington whose sole goal is to go pro.

They meet at a party one night and can’t stop thinking about each other for months later. Eventually they find their way back to each other but then Adam goes off to fight some fires and gets into a big accident and gets some injuries. He is consumed with self-pity and just can’t seem to find his way back to Daisy, and does the exact opposite in pushing her away which is super sad given how he was before the accident. Daisy continue to hold on but how much can she hold on when the one she cares for the most ignores her?

This has some very spicy scenes in it. I adored the protectiveness of the love in this book, specifically from him to her. My favorite part though really is how the full cast of characters come together throughout the book to really be there for each other no matter what.

I am so happy that we got a story focused on Adam, he is such a fun character. Adam first shows up in book 1 of this series, Broken Luck where he is a side character but does play an important part of a very serious event that occurs in that book and carries over into his reputation to book 3. So I would say it’s good to read that first book before reading this book. Book 2, A Fairy Tale in a Big City, has mostly a completely different set of characters so could be read on its own.

Congratulations Shannon! I hope there will be more!

🌶️🌶️🌶️ - Spice

We all process trauma differently.

Daisy, Daisy, Daisy. This female character hits you with her dedication to her craft as well as trusting people she probably shouldn’t.

Adam, our reformed playboy spots Daisy and through their random encounters over the next few months begin a friendship. Each time he spots Daisy she makes the world stop, sparks fly, and maybe, just maybe our playboy won’t be a playboy anymore.

This slow burn romance hits differently. There are a lot of moving parts meaning there is a main plot and multiple subplots. From our main characters dealing with their own issues and sharing them with one another as their friendship buds into a relationship. Daisy’s trainer Giles is a character that creeps me out from the get go. I can spot an abuser a mile away. I will say that I know what it feels like to be in a situation where you don’t believe you can leave. This story hits home on many notes. Mainly because when you are controlled by another person it’s hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. In this case, Daisy has Adam and his friends to help pull her from an unsafe situation.

Later on, *insert sub plot* Adam gets hurt at his job and then pushes Daisy away. For a heap of chapters she is waiting for him to see he’s worth it while he is just down on himself. The ending felt a bit repetitive and rushed. Overall, a decent read but it is heavy on the spice. Spice in spaces that I didn’t feel were appropriate after certain instances BUT everyone processes sexual trauma differently. So, take that opinion with a grain of salt.

P.S CHECK YOUR TRIGGER WARNINGS..

My first Shannon Morse book, and even though I did not read the first 2 books, I did enjoy this one.
Daisy is a college distance runner on the fast track to a professional running career. She goes to a New Years Eve bash at the local frat house never expecting to run into a Greek Adonis by the name of Adam. He is gorgeous, and flirtatious, and so she thinks, way out of her league. But the two hit it off over some roasted marshmallows before her abusive, controlling, track team Captain shows up and bursts their bubble.
Adam, the usual good time playboy, finds himself in new territory thinking about only one girl. The fiery little redhead from the NYE party. They continue to cross paths over the next weeks to months and feelings grow between them with Adam working as a firefighter/paramedic and Daisy continuing with her degree and the track team. This is definitely more of a slow burn but when things get going, there is a good level of spice there. My biggest turn off is the way Adam keeps referring to a pet name for his manhood (and he does it frequently throughout the book). I felt it just kept reverting his character from the man he was becoming back into the cocky college playboy and it just didn't fit with the growth of his character. I had to lower my rating because of it. But the rest was good. I felt the trauma Adam went through as well as the following recovery was well written. The resulting issues Daisy faces while Adam faces his new reality is also well done.
The plot flows well making for a smooth, easy read. Overall this was a good story and would recommend reading it.
I received a free advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

*All of the puns in my review are intentional. 😉*

All of Shannon’s books are amazing, but this one has surpassed them all!

Shannon’s knowledge of competitive running shines throughout the novel at every turn. As someone who knows nothing about competitive running, this was very easy to follow along and I almost felt like I was competing with Daisy!

A great story about resilience, self discovery, and of course a blazing romance. I think this story is told at an amazing pace and can easily be finished in a day or two. The character development was amazing and I loved the resolution of their problems at the end.

Daisy is a collegiate track star on the path to a professional career. Her life starts to take a different path when she runs into the campus legend, Adam, a firefighter/paramedic that quickens the pulse of any nearby girls- including myself.

As her relationship with Adam deepens, shadows from her past creep in and threaten everything she is slowly building. Adam also faces challenges with his career and overcoming the mental toll behind it all, something I can relate to.

I appreciated the college scene and the group of close young adults forming a family with Daisy and Adam. I didn’t have much of that during my college experience so I loved getting to live a different life through these characters. Who doesn’t love a good BBQ scene with lots of beer and laughs?!

I can’t wait to get my hands on Shannon’s next release!

Stop Drop and run
Adam…heart swoons! I love this firefighter! And his bid D*** energy and boy does he know it, it’s as big as his ego! Loving that Adam Ego!! He is fun loving, sensitive, mildly possessive from a distance, recovering womanizer.
Why do I say recovering, well when a wildfire ensues around his life it comes in form of small dainty red haired spitfire, Daisy. Daisy has high walls built around her, she is gonna be a challenge especially after being completely friend zoning Adam. Daisy is a runner, and not in just the sense of running but learning to let down some walls to allow Adam in.
Let’s not forget the villain in our story “Giles” what a worm…. Typical slime bag. But we all need that villain in an epic love story.
Another lil female villain Pam makes her appearance as well. Cuz what would a story be without a jealous ex.
So much character growth and great mix of plot and character throughout! Beautifully written!! did I mention I love it!
Slow burn romance, spicy, heart swooning, trauma, healing. I am not disappointed in these amazing characters!
I love getting to know Adam better, and still hearing about the infamous Andy and Davi’s and their life. Not to mention some of our favorites from Broken Luck. Oh and Diego is definitely a hit, when do we get that story?!?
10/10 Recommend! I love it!!

If you haven’t read broken luck by Shannon Morse yet, you need to before reading this book. You get the background information as well as character insights.
Adam is the biggest man on campus, in every way possible, he has piercings to please the ladies, if you will, he’s a player through and through. He’s a fire fighter and a bachelor.
Adam gets into a funk because all of his friends are maturing and making a life for themselves and he has decided that he wants to put the bachelor life behind him and find someone to settle down with and start a family.
In walks the absolutely beautiful Daisy and Adam is completely smitten.
Daisy is a cross country track star for her college team, but when health issues arise because she’s not taking in enough calories to compensate her running and her coaches keep pushing her and cld care less about her health, esp Giles, who is a piece of work.
As Adam and Daisy’s relationship starts to flourish, things take a few turns and everything changes for them both!
There is a couple twists and turns in this book that I didn’t see coming! You need to read this book! It’s so good! Plus if you have read Broken Luck, you get more of those same characters in this book, and get to know more of their story!
READ THIS BOOK!! Shannon Morse is an amazing author and the woman can tell a story!!

This is the first book I have read by Shannon Morse and I loved it! I love track and field and was glad to have a romance that has that in it.

Daisy is a college track runner on a scholarship who wants to go pro.

Adam is a firefighter with a reputation as a playboy and maybe he isn't liking that title anymore.

Daisy is the star track runner who feels she has to do everything her coach/ex Giles says or she may lose her scholarship. It wasn't until she met Adam that she saw that the way she was treated was not right. Adam really likes Daisy but because of his past he has been friend zoned. I really like how they first has a little meet cute then saw each other later. Just when things seem to be going well for the both of them something terrible happens and it rocks the foundation of their relationship.

I really liked this book. Adam I honestly did not care for until about half way through the book but that could just be his ego and how he talked about his junk in third person. What is did like about him was he was a protector and obsessed with Daisy. Did I mention he is pierced!!!! I really liked how Adam's friends became Daisy's friends to and they really pulled through for her toward the end of the book.

If you love insta-love, golden retriever mmc, love overcomes romance this is a great book for you.

First, even though this book is number 3 of the PNW Love Series, I did not feel that I missed anything in order to read this one before the others. While some other reviews I had read, it seems that there were few characters from previous books, I did not get lost.

This story intrigued me. What girl doesn't want the untamable, sexy hot fireman, bad boy?? Daisy had no idea how this man, whom she often called by his last name, Babcock, would be the man of her dreams. Adam is a man who couldn't/wouldn't be tied down by any woman. When he meets a red headed firecracker (wild fire), he is an awe, starts to feel a burning ache in his bones (and loins), to long to settle down, desire to have the love he never thought he would have.

Daisy's life ambition was to Run. Running was a way to escape troubles from home, to feel whole. The men that she had in her life saw her desperate desire to escape and used her for their own pleasure. Daisy didn't know how to respond to Adam when he came into her life. Navigating college, growing up, learning about herself, learning about true friends, true love, and trusting.....

Stop Drop and Run is a definite read if you are looking for a story of how love can come at an unexpecting time, with people whom seem to be solar opposites ...then this is a book for you.
Having lived in the PNW most of my life, reading about different locations, schools, towns that I knew, I could envision myself right there with them.

I will be looking into reading the first 2 books in this series and look forward to more love, sex, and adventure!

The love story of a fireman and the runner who captured his heart. The world seems to continuously challenge both of our main characters, both individually and as a couple. Will their love be enough to keep them together?

The Pros:
A very supportive found family. All of our supporting characters are caring and interesting. This book is the third in this series and certainly makes you want to know more about the stories of the other characters.
A lot is going on in this story, with plot points coming at you in every chapter, keeping you engaged and interested in what is going to happen next.

The Cons:
I felt like some of the plot points were kind of glossed over and could have used more exploration... of course, that could have made this book very long, so I'm not sure what the right answer would have been, but I sometimes felt this could be too abrupt.
I was not a big fan of the overuse of nicknames. I like nicknames in books, but there were too many nicknames and they were a bit repetitive.

In Conclusion:
This is a very spicy love story with great side characters and a very interesting plot. If you're looking for a fast-paced romance, this may be the book for you!

Group chats in books will never grow old. They are hilarious and really showcase the witty humor of all of the characters. Another fun chat was the one between Adam and Daisy. They got cheeky with each other. I love Adam's nickname for Daisy of "Wildfire".

While there was an attraction between these two, it was not something that caused them to jump right into a relationship. In fact, Daisy "friend zoned" Adam and he was trying to figure out how to show Daisy he wanted to be more than just "friends". Yet, after they did get together, the steaminess did rise.

Although, there was real emotions involved as well. What with Adam getting injured and pushing Daisy away. Only for him to realize that she stuck with him. I have not read the other books in this series, but I liked the other characters and do want to go back and read the prior novels to get to know them better. Stop and drop what you are reading and run and pick up a copy of this book!

This book was such a delight!!! I absolutely loved the plot, the characters, the romance, and the humor—some parts genuinely had me laughing out loud! And let’s talk about the spice... Phew!! It’s definitely a spicy read, so if that’s your vibe, you’re in for a treat. But as always, make sure to check the trigger warnings—this story touches on some serious topics and real-life struggles that could be sensitive for some readers.

I absolutely adored our MMC, Adam—he’s strong but also incredibly sweet, funny, and tender. And Daisy? She’s a FMC who truly comes into her own. I love watching a character evolve and become something amazing right before our eyes.

Whiel there are other books in this series, this one works perfectly as a standalone, with just some mentions of previous events. You can jump in without reading the others, although you might miss a few references.
All in all, I highly recommend this if you’re after a contemporary romance with heart, heat, and humor.

3.5 stars rounded up. While I enjoyed the love story and both the fmc and mmc, there were many parts that made me cringe. I know people all handle trauma differently, but it didn't seem like a realistic response to the point it actually made me a bit upset. other people may not feel that way, but this is my review and my opinion.
I thought the traumatic experiences were well written it was the response that I didn't like. Also, the mmc referring to his member as little Adam so frequently put me off.
Now, to not have you think I hated the book, there was a lot I did like. I really enjoyed the romantic journey the mcs went through to get together, and the way they supported each other was beautiful. The fact there were many things that happened to both of them, but they were able to support and guide each other was wonderful. there were many spicy scenes that were also very well written for the spice readers.
All in all, if you're a spicy sports romance reader, give it a try.

Stop, Drop, and Run was the kind of book that sneaks up on you, in the best way possible. I was expecting a more lighthearted rom-com and ended up way more invested in Adam and Daisy’s journey. Their chemistry was off the charts, but what really pulled me in was the depth given to both characters. Both are navigating personal trauma, fear, and what it means to be truly vulnerable with someone.

The story blends witty banter, real emotional stakes, and a slow-burn that pays off in the end. It’s the third book in the Pacific Northwest Love series, but reads totally fine as a standalone. I had never read any of the books in the series prior to this tone, and now I’m now planning to go back and read the others!

If you're into romance with heart, healing, and characters who feel like real people, Stop, Drop, and Run is 100% worth the read. 🔥💛

I loved the vibes and everything about this series. In this 3rd book you get to see some characters from the first books and we get some new characters. I loved the spice, the love, friendship and it had trauma/tragedy. Everything to keep u entertained.
Adam is a hot firefighter with charisma, and his ego! He is sensitive and a bit possessive and loving.
Adam has a crazy jealous ex, who wasn’t right for him hence the break up, cuz she couldn’t “change his ways”
And another bad guy in the story is Giles…. Man can not stand that guy! Definitely a slime ball
I loved getting to know Adam better! I 1000% recommend this story, definitely the series I absolutely am loving this series and the characters 😍

What a perfect addition to the Pacific Northwest Love Series!!!! Adam stole my heart in this one. I loved the way he loved Daisy and protected her. He was her knight in Firefighter armor! As an ex playboy type, he was definitely more experienced, but only in a certain department. When it came to matters of the heart, he was clueless until Daisy came into his life. Then Adam’s world completely changes one day on the job. He pushes everyone away, even his Wildfire. But when it comes to love and our perfect match, no amount of time or distance will change the way you feel for that special person. I want to know more about Adam and Daisy! I hope they make appearances in future books because these characters become a part of your heart-like they’re your actual friends.

I received this book via ARC. I have to say overall this was a great read. There were definitely lots of feels going on for me towards the characters and situations; anger, sadness, joy. Certain characters I wanted to punch, some I wanted to hug. You always know a book is written well when you feel the things. There was spice but nothing too much or heavy. The use of pet names seemed a bit overused and while I also think that the "relationship" of the main characters felt a bit rushed to me considering the length of the book, neither issue really hindered my enjoyment of the book but is ultimately what kept me from a 5 star review. If you like a good romance with a protective and slightly obsessed guy, a woman who learns to love herself because of his love for her, then this is your book.
