The Mountain-Scape Lake Lodge, situated on the pristine alpine lake in the heart of the Smoky Mountains, is the perfect place for the Steele Family from Charlotte and Phoenix - along with their friends - to spend the Holidays. They have rented the entire one-hundred-room lodge. Celebrations are in order. Everyone is happy for Eden and Drew Steele, who are celebrating their fortieth wedding anniversary. Then there are Chance and Kylie Steele's oldest kids - Marcus and Tiffany - who have finished law school and medical school, respectively. Everyone is looking forward to the celebrations and the holidays, as well as meeting Tiffany's new boyfriend. The family is surprised when he introduces himself as her fiancé, rather than a boyfriend. It seems that not everyone is happy with the surprise, and the plot thickens when it is discovered that he is not all he claims to be.

This large family of Steeles, their close friends who are considered family too, colleagues, neighbors and so many more gathered to honor the Casanova aka Drew Steele and the wealthy rig stow-a-way, Eden Tyson now Steele's long lasting marriage being celebrated as their fortieth wedding anniversary is at hand! This celebration brought together friends and some masquerading as friends but are foes! Things did not turn out as the foes planned and better than the honored couple could have imagined. Thank you Divine Mrs. J, we got the full story surrounding the stow-a-way and what resulted from it. We got to see how the Steeles rallied around betrayed family members reminiscent of how the Madarises and Westmorelands surround and support their family members. Wow, time has truly flown. I can remember when Marcus and Tiffany faked a relationship to get his widowed father and her abandoned mother together. I touched base with all of the Steele men and their wives plus some of the Steele women and although it was not spelled out, I am sure their husbands were there too. Overall, I enjoyed this story thoroughly and look forward to having this story in audiobook.
The Steele family is my favorite Brenda Jackson story, and I love those Arizona Bad News Steeles. I loved reading Drew and Eden's full backstory. I've always loved their love story, and this book reinforced it. I enjoyed catching up with the rest of the family and all the new additions. Tiffany's story was intriguing, and I am looking forward to the new series that will jump off from this one. Looking forward to seeing what happens with her and Antwon Bohannon.
Thank you, Mrs. Jackson, for a wonderful holiday story with the Steeles.
This book was so awesome. I loved how the plot and the past characters were written together. It was nice hearing about previous characters that I love. This is one of my favorite authors and she never disappoints. The plot flows beautifully and it was hard to put down. I am looking for to the new series, I think Tiffany will find her true love. Great epilogue with a new beginning.
Excellent read, I enjoyed the characters and storyline. Drew and Eden’s 40 anniversary surprise was the backdrop to their origin story of their journey to love and happiness. There was also, secrets, mystery, intrigue and espionage. It was great catching up with the Steele family and friends. I look forward to the Mountain Scape Lake series and Tiffany and Antwon’s story.
As always Mrs. Jackson, turns out the best books in the land. I got caught in other authors, but Mrs. Jackson always get me back to her books. This book with the Steeles, was a refreshing visit with all the characters I’ve read. Tiffany’s book was brilliantly written. I can’t wait to read Mrs. Jackson other books. I’ve read at least 100 of her other books.
I really enjoyed this book at first. I didn’t think I was gonna like it because it went back in the past that’s just me, but I couldn’t stop reading it. It took me two days to finish this book of course of chores in the way, but then when I start reading it, I couldn’t put it down. You always amaze me with your good books and stories. Keep up the good work love your love you put out there.
This was another beautiful Brenda Jackson love story. I did love reading about Eden and Drew, but I really thought Tiffany's would be the central love story. I enjoyed the ending very much though. I have to admit, I had to do some mental stretches to remember the back stories of all the characters.
I enjoyed the story of how Drew and Éden met. Even though her parents were controlling escarpins their contrl she found a love of a lifetime. The Steele's holiday celebration brought Tiffany's story and espionage. Loved it. Can't wait for 2027.
Looking forward to the new series. Per usual Jackson develops her characters extremely well to the point that they become like friends in the community. The storyline in this book is equally as intriguing and alluring as her previous works. I can't wait for the next installment.
I totally enjoyed this book. The backstory on Drew and Eden was absolutely refreshing. This close knit family of blood, friends and business associates rallied together to expose a fraud among them and celebrate Drew and Eden’s 40th anniversary. I am looking forward to reading about Tiffany and Antwon.
Love the story of Drew and Eden. Was glad they had a lot of the characters from other Brenda Jackson books included in this book. It made it that much more enjoyable to read.
What a great collection of stories. It was great to finally read Eden & Drew’s story. The others were icing on the cake. I can’t wait for the Mountain Lodge series.
I couldn't put this book down. I had a feeling the Steele family wasn't done with Devonshire. Eden and Drew's story as to how the met was awesome. I lo ed everything about this book.
Great story, loved reading about old characters and new stories. Hoping Tiffany has her own happily ever after. Maybe it is time that whole generation of Steels to have their own love story?
Brenda Jackson is an excellent romance writer and she have talent only she can create. I would recommend this book to all and there is nothing about this book that I didn't enjoy especially about Drew and Eden!!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I have been reading MS Jackson's novels for quite a few years. They always make want to cry and shout every time. I wait in anticipation for the next novel. Job well done...
Drew and Eden Steele the love story of the century. This was the best of the Steels, just how it all began for the six bad boys. Waiting to see what will happen with Tiffany and Antwan.
Loved reading this book about the Steele fami!y. They are an exceptional family. Enjoyed how the brothers all worked together to get the job done. Enjoyed the anniversary celebration. Brenda is one of my favorite authors. Love reading her series.
Another great story from MS Jackson. It was great to reunite with the Steelers ,family and friends. Reading how Eden and Drew became a couple was a beautiful love story. I can't wait for Tiffany and Antwon's story.
This book was so good. Enjoyed the flashback of how Eden and Drew met and got together. Then there was the sadness from what Tiffany had to deal with from Gary. And it all ended with a bit of hope for more stories in the future and a possible happily ever after for Tiffany.
Brenda Jackson NEVER disappoints her readers. I always hate when the book ends because she just makes you yearn for more chapters. Please adapt this novel into a movie
Enjoyed reading up on the Steeles and their friends! It is so many of them that I had forgotten some of them. I truly enjoyed the story on how Eden and Drew came together.
