I finished both Sucker Punch and Sugar Pop in less than two days. I could not put these books down. I loved the characters and the spice so much 🌶️ Alta Hensley has easily become one of my favorite authors.

Sugar Pop is book two of The Riot Crew series by Alta Hensley. This is the continuation of the reverse harem / why choose story about Ari, Frankie, Bones and Lotto. I totally recommend reading Sucker Punch first because it will help you understand the backstory and dynamics of these four characters. This is a very steamy and spicy read and at times you forget about the underground fighting and the challenges they are facing. Their passion, desire and need for each other pours off the pages. These four certainly cover every kinky combination possible so we get MF, MM, MMF, MMM and MMMF situations and they aren’t shy about their love for one another!!

They are back at Smiley’s Gym and excited for the future after their success at Heathens Hollow. Ari can keep her dad’s gym open and continue his legacy. She is a great protagonist and loves her three guys. Frankie aka Freakshow, continues to train Bones and is fully onboard with their unconventional relationship. Bones is now the undisputed king of the underground fighting scene and Lotto organises the fights. However, this time there are more things against them and Troy Godwin is tempting them with another deal. They all know that there will be a catch and more at stake this time especially when the magnetic but dangerous fighter Beau “River” Fitzpatrick is back in the ring.

Ari has fought to keep the gym going but it looks like she might have to actual fight this time round to save Smiley’s. She’s determined to protect the guys like they have protected her. Bones and Lotto are prepared to do whatever is necessary to help her and Frankie considers putting his life on the line for her. Smiley’s is everything to them so if they lost it what would happen to them? They are desperate to go legit and get out of the underground cage-fighting scene but what will it cost them? What will they have to do to keep the gym open, who will end up fighting who and will they all survive Troy’s plans for them.

I loved how Lotto looks after everyone in his own special way, especially his ‘angel’. It was lovely how they supported each other and worked hard to overcome everything they go through. I loved the first book but found the plot got lost in all the eroticism in this one. There isn’t a cliffhanger at the end but the author does gives us a surprise visitor, who has a couple of interesting options for Ari and the guys. A plot twist to challenge all of them in Sweet Riot #3.

This was a good story. It’s the next one in The Riot Crew with Ari, Bones, Lotto and Frankie. The men want to keep her safe even if they are obsessively overprotective. They each want something out of their relationship and she is up for the challenge of it. Their chemistry is off the charts.

Better than the first book. There is lots and lots of kinky sex in all combinations. They seem to have more connection in this installment. They more believable and you can easily get on board with them. The story is good that goes with it and seems like there will be another installment.

I was really looking forward to this one and to see what happened to Smiley’s and the rest of the Riot Crew.

In my opinion, this one wasn’t as good as book 1. There wasn’t a whole lot of plot, mostly just spice. I don’t think there’s such a thing as too much spice, but I do think that the actual plot line suffered a bit because of it. Especially because it was such a short book.

The training and the fights and the need to restore Smiley’s had me really hooked. I wish there was a little bit more of that added in! I loved that Ari got her moment to shine in the ring in this one. I was rooting for the whole Riot Crew to come out on top!

This was a pretty quick, easy read, and I’m interested to see where book 3 takes us!

Book #2 of the Riot Crew series by Alta Hensley. After the ending of the first booking I HAD to read the 2nd and it did not disappoint. Moving the story forward and continuing the dark life of the book is so good I definitely recommend giving the series a try.

I just finished Sugar Pop, and it was such a steamy and addictive read! Alta Hensley is known for her dark, edgy romances, and this book delivered exactly what I was hoping for—intense chemistry, a little bit of danger, and a whole lot of heat.

The story follows two complex characters whose worlds collide in unexpected ways. The dominant hero was everything you’d expect from an Alta Hensley novel—brooding, possessive, and unapologetically alpha. The heroine was strong-willed and relatable, making their push-and-pull dynamic all the more compelling. Their journey from tension-filled encounters to undeniable passion kept me hooked from start to finish.

The writing was vivid and immersive, with just the right balance of emotional depth and sizzling tension. I also appreciated the unique storyline that added an extra layer of intrigue to the romance. It wasn’t just about the spice (though there’s plenty of that!); there were genuine moments of vulnerability and growth that made the characters feel real.

While I thoroughly enjoyed the book, some parts felt a bit predictable given the tropes involved. Additionally, I would have loved a bit more backstory or development for some of the secondary characters to add more depth to the world.

Overall, Sugar Pop is a captivating dark romance that fans of Alta Hensley will adore. If you’re looking for a steamy escape with strong characters and plenty of emotional intensity, this one is definitely worth picking up. A solid 4 stars!

This is the second book in The Riot Crew Series from Alta Hensley. You need to read the first book, Sucker Punch or you will not know what is going on in this book. I was so excited to be back with Ari, Frankie, Bones and Lotto. We all know since we read Sucker Punch that Smiley Gym needed to be saved and Ari accomplished this thanks to a huge fight in Heathern's Hollow. So their coming off that win and things are look up in the gym. Until they aren't. Now there facing some serious damaged to the gym and they need a influx of cash fast. But that comes with making a deal with the devil and he has more in store for them than anyone could have seen coming. I love these characters. I love how they look out for each other. Share the same dream of making Ari's dads gym the number one boxing gym in their area. I loved how they support each other in all that they do. Even when they have to fight it out among themselves. I loved all these characters in the first book, but this second one you feel like your living this book right with them. We can't forget that they are a found family. A band of misfits in ways that fit so perfectly together and they always have each other's backs. You really do not want to miss this book. The ending was very interesting and I so cannot wait to see what we get in Sweet Riot.

Ari & Bones & Lotto & Frankie.

Everything about the second book I love. Ari is a badass hot as hell women in this book and all three guys fall more in love with her and each other. They all tease, challenge, laugh, smirk with each other it’s amazing. Everyone hates River but when they look at him and he looks at them all they get hot and flustered by him and his piercing blue eyes and tattooed chiseled chest🥵. After Ari and Bones wins Heathens Hollow they go to the sex club the next afternoon and have some amazing sexy time and low and behold RIVER is there watching and stroking himself to the four of them together on the booth🤭🪭. I love how Lotto looks after everyone in his own way, especially Ari his little 😇. I will most definitely be preorder the #3 Sweet Riot to see the core four continue to grow and maybe River will be joining them and it will be the core five😉.

Ari Dexter inherited a boxing gym, Smiley’s, from her father. Bones Vega is an underground fighter. With his winnings, they are on track to make Smiley’s Gym a tried and true boxing gym again. Frankie used to fight as Freakshow and now he trains the fighters. He has known Ari a long time. Lotto rounds out their foursome. He has been friends with Bones a long time. The four of them are in a relationship together outside of the boxing ring.

Jace Perk used to fight when Frankie was Freakshow. He didn’t make it as a boxer so now he helps his sister Misty run her gym called Perk’s Gym. Beau “River” Fitzpatrick is the only fighter almost as good as Bones. He is now with Perk’s Gym. They post a video on their website of River hitting another fighter who happens to be wearing a Smiley’s Gym shirt. The woman behind the camera, Misty, laughs and says, “Watch Your Back.”

When a freak rainstorm passes through and a tree lands in the middle of Smiley’s Gym, the gang has a major setback. They are trying to avoid a deal with Troy Godwin of Heathen Hollows.

I could tell from the beginning that Perk’s Gym and River were going to cause Smiley’s Gym trouble and/or Troy Godwin was going to rope them into something. I love how fierce this foursome is together and how strong they were against their enemies. Another exciting, sexy story.

Loving this cover art ! Having read the first book I knew the dynamics of this little family was different but it works for them and that’s what matters and it was good to catch up with them 😉

The win at Heathens Hollow out Smileys back on the books and it seems there’s light at the end of the tunnel that’s till Mother Nature intervenes and nearly wipes smileys out in a storm 😢now they have to put their pride in their pocket and look to Troy Goodwin for help and he’s willing but he’s got his own agenda or terms …..

Frankie can’t fight anymore due to previous injuries and Ari is next in line , while she has some boxing experience she’s never been in the cage an the boys are so against it and I can’t say I blame them but as we know Ari has the heart of a lion and she’ll do anything to save her legacy and come on let’s be honest she’s got the best there is behind her to prepare her , my shattered nerves 🙈

Bones has to face River and he’s the one opponent he’s nervous of and the tension is tangible ….

There were moments where I thought they’d have give up Smileys for good but don’t underestimate this unconventional family , they fight and love harder than most 🥰I also don’t think river knew what he was letting himself in for all I want to say is welcome to the family 😉

We have arrived at the second volume of this saga written by Alta Hensley, whose first volume was “Sucker Punch”. As you already know, Hensley is one of those authors who never disappoints me and this time she lives up to expectations!

“Sugar Pop” picks up where the first book ends, but in a certain sense it could be read on its own. In any case, for a better understanding I suggest reading it in order of publication.
Obviously the protagonists are always Ari and his boys and here they are more united than ever!

Everything revolves around Ari’s gym and each of them will be involved in its structure and maintenance. Fights, intrigues, deceptions and passion are the key words of this volume. Where the suspense for the encounters and for what is put at risk alternates excellently with the spiciest and most fiery scenes. Two opposite worlds but which keep the reader in suspense in the same way.

I especially loved how she and the boys are willing to do anything and everything to keep others safe, as well as to safeguard the things they fought so hard for. Also, each character is well-crafted and characterized, and for this reason you will love each of them for wonderful and different reasons.

I can't wait to discover the next adventures of our beloved characters and to find out what fate has in store for them!

A straight up raw and dirty hot good time! The Smiley’s crew is back in full force and they’re kicking ass and taking names on their way back to the top of the fight game in a read so wickedly delicious good you might have to tap out a few times to take care of things because one hand is not enough. The fights are twice as fierce, the take on the pots is hitting astronomical numbers, there’s a rival gym that can talk a whole lot but their walk could use a little practice, the always hated Troy is back, these four have pages going up in flames, but there is nothing better than the way they fight for each other in this absolutely killer read.
Such a freaking good read! It is insanely hot, these four are not afraid to put on a show and it’s always highly enjoyable, especially when all those tempers are running high and punishments are getting doled out, just saying. But it’s got a lot of heart along with that. This is a family fighting for each other, always giving it their all, and it’s really pretty sweet. The fights are so much bigger with much higher stakes and they’re written fabulously, you definitely get the adrenaline rush, the excitement, and all the good underground fight vibes! Just a great, highly entertaining, and fun read that has leaves you pumped to see where this crew goes next.

Sugar Pop is steaming hot and will definitely burn your Kindles down . Because the Riot Crew is back and they're fighting for a win in the ring and out of it. The relationship between Ari , Frankie, Lotto and Bones is strong. They are working hard to make Smiley's the best but a sudden twist of fate could break them or make them even stronger. And that deal with Troy Godwin is testing not only their relationship but their trust in their skills. And that rivalry thrown at them from another gym is messing with them. But through all the ups and downs they learn the hard way to trust in each other skills to bring the best out of them so they can win. Ari was a true fighter and hold her ground and won a lot of respect and credibility. She's a proof that with hard work you can turn everything into a victory. Bones ruled the cage as ever . Frankie and Lotto were so good when keeping their backs. Except for the minor slip up Frankie made out of fear and love for Ari's safety. After all they proved themselves to be the best . River was an interesting character and his preposition was such a plot twist and I can't wait to see what happens in the next book of the series. I have a suspicion that River wants more than being at the better gym with that hints from the last chapters.

This was a continuation of the exciting riot crew. These four are in the fighting world and have some problems with other fighters in the area. They continue to enjoy themselves and it doesn't matter whose around, they are all together and proud.

They tried negotiations with other members of a club and their terms had them tense. Then a natural disaster strikes and they need money to save their gym.

This was steamy per usual! And when they show their concern for one another it was great. Her fighting as well and the way they did it? Hey, you gotta play the game and I agree with their methods! That was some fight and she didn't even have to do that to show she is as much of a baddie as her men. Then the ante jumps even higher in the next book. It looks like there might be another addition coming their way. Again, normally not my thing but I knew this was going to be entertaining!

This is book 2 of Riot Crew. It could be read as a standalone. I recommend reading Sucker Punch first. It will be much easier to understand the inner relationship dynamics better. Apparently all the readers did not got enough of Ari and her men. Now, nearly 11 months later, we got a 2nd installment.
In this particular harem, the men are just as involved with each other, as they are Ari. I think this group isn't afraid on some exhibitionism.

This book picks up right where the 1st book ended. Ari and Frankie are still trying to keep her dad's boxing gym open. There are a lot of things working against Ari and her men this time around. They're either going to have to work together, risking themselves, or it's time to fold. There is more competition this time around. I'm curious what will happen in the next book. I'm hoping there will be another man added yo the harem.

This crew is entertaining (and spicy) like no other. The group is strong. They've been fighting literally to put Smiley's on top. Bones is taking on the right fights to get his name recognized as they try to go legit and get out of the underground game. Frankie is trying to make sure everyone stays sharp. Lotto is trying to keep everything running smoothly, and Ari is doing her thing for Smiley's and trying to honor her dad's memory. Fate is a fickle thing though, and the crew can't catch a break. Now to make the repairs their gym needs, they're going to have to make another deal with Troy Godwin and take on a rival gym… Not only that, but Ari is going to have to step up to the challenge with Bones. This group is going to have to remember they're stronger together and keep faith in one another—that's when they'll be unstoppable. Keep your eyes on that rival… He's bringing a new twist and a new opportunity, and I can't wait for what's to come!

4.5 Stars!! This is a continuation from the first book, Sucker Punch, with the same characters in a new situation. After a tree falls on Smiley's their gym, they have to do something to get the money to fix it. Bones' is willing to fight as much as possible though the more he fits and wins, the less money they will make. So, they decide to go back to Troy and Heathen's Hollow though he has a different idea about who is to fight. When Ari agrees to go up against a rival gym owner her three boyfriends are against it. Will this break up their relationship? Will one of them end up dead? Heathen's Hollow is a fight to the death kind of place. Lots of kinky situations, MM, MF, MFM, MFMM throughout the book. Enjoy.

Sugar Pop is the second installment in The Riot Crew Series and it must be read after Sucker Punch, book #1, respectively.

The Crew is back and with it victories, defeats and the proverbial resolution....a win in the ring and out if it.
The bonds are stronger and Ari, Lotto, Bones and Frankie are working hard to bring Smiley's to its full potential, but the sharks are waiting for blood in the water and the pivotal challenge will be their ability to trust each other' skills...
Ari, once more, shows she's a fighter in and out and the guys support, even with doubts and the volition to act out of love, care and protection at the cost of jeopardy, doesn't diminish their intrinsic loyalty and connection.

The Sugar Pop is the sequel to Sucker Punch and picks up right where the last left off. It has a consistent pace and doesn't feel slow at any point. The story is told from the point of view of the 4 main characters, Ari, Frankie, Bones, and Lotto. The characters continue to develop and work toward the common goal of improving their boxing gym while continuing to explore their relationship. Threats come at them from nature, their opponents, and the fight coordinator, Troy. This is not just a boxing book but more about interpersonal relationships (that get quite spicy). I am excited to hear a third book Sweet Riot will be coming in March of 2025. I look forward to continuing this series and recommend it to others.

Sugar Pop is the second book in The Riot Crew series. This is a steamy why choose romance. This book does contain some content that may be sensitive to some so please make sure you read the trigger warnings before reading. Sugar Pop picks up where Sucker Punch left off. Ari, Frankie, Bones and Lotto have brought life back to Smiley's as well as formed a very tight relationship. Unfortunately between a new competitor moving in and a freak accident, they find themselves in a sticky situation. Will they be able to save themselves and Smiley's? This book is full of sass, heartache, betrayal, determination, love and tons of spice!!! Fantastic addition to the series and I can't wait to see what comes next for these four amazing characters.

Ah, the Riot Crew!!

This is book #2 in the series, and I highly recommend reading book #1 to get the full backstory. Ari inherited Smiley’s gym from her father. She is in a partnership/relationship with Bones, Fankie and Lotto. The relationship is one you will not find just anywhere. The relationships may center on Ari, but all members relate to everyone. It is exceedingly well done, and scorching hot.

An underground fight gives them enough funds to work toward respectability. A storm and a tree take that away. An impossible challenge. A troublesome contract. A rock and a hard place. To say more would give too much away, just clear your calendar when you pick this one up.

Also, I understand book #3 is not far behind (if not already out by the time you read this).

Ari, Bones, Frankie, are Lotto are back!
I was thrilled when Alta continued the story of Ari, Bones, Frankie, and Lotto after Bones’ fantastic win at Heathens Hollow and the ultimate after party experience for the Fab Four! A rival gym starts spewing tales about their strengths and playing down Smiley’s gym to add to the turmoil amongst them. Yet fate has thrown them a horrible situation when Mother Nature wields her physically powerful force on their livelihood. With no where to turn, they find themselves asking for money from Troy, owner of Heathens Hollow who asks for an obvious match for Bones, but there is the unexpected match that sets the Fab Four men in to an uproar! While Ari physically works at something she has never done, Lotto rounds up Bones and Frankie to get behind Ari. How will it all end? You have to read to find out and will be rooting for Ari to prove herself!

A rival gym decides to start trash talking Smiley's and if that wasn't bad enough mother nature decides to go for the knockout punch to the gym. With limited insurance they don't have the money that they need to take care of the repairs needed to get the gym up and running again so they make a deal with the devil. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this steamy entertaining sports,menage, polyamorous romance to see what happens. I would definitely recommend reading this book and I'm looking forward to the next book in this exciting series.

THANK GOD FOR ALTA HENSLEY!! Seriously, I love her books so much she is definitely one of those authors for me that I have to instantly download and read their books. I loved that we are back with Ari and her guys. It was definitely a fun book filled with LOTSSSS of spice. I swear Alta has a crazy af imagination because god dang was this book spicy. I loved this story and I am definitely looking forward to the next book.

This is the second engaging reverse harem story of Ari, Bones, Lotto and Frankie. Cash flowing in from Bones wins, the group is in a solid relationship, the gym is growing with clients, and everyone is feeling great. Ari is approached by Beau "River" Fitzpatrick a fighter after Bones won his fight. They later catch a video of him practicing fighting that's going around. Will River be his next challenge? When Ari and Frankie's gym, Smiley's, gets greatly damaged in a freak storm, Ari steps up to the plate to save it. Will the guys let her? Our characters are wonderfully depicted. This was a steamy, twisted, engaging story that captured me from the beginning to the end. Can't wait for pt 3 of this serial. I'd volunteer to read and review this copy I'd received.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This is the second book in The Riot Crew. You could read this book as a standalone, but it would be better after reading the first. This book has MF, MM, MFM, MMM, and MMFM scenes that are super spicey!
After a storm that puts a tree through Smiley's Gym, Ari and her boys are worried about having to close the doors for good. She will do anything to keep the doors open. Even strike a deal with the devil that includes getting in the ring herself. Frankie, Lotto, and Bones know they can't talk her out of it, so they have to all help her train to win.
I devoured this book. I didn't think these four could get any hotter after Sucker Punch, but boy, was I wrong. Can't wait for the next book.
