Such an intimate exploration of life during the pandemic through little snippets of Carreira's life. The pandemic brought upon a collective grief to us all—grief for how we wanted our lives to look like. Isolation took so much from our relationships, our children, etc. I typically steer clear of works about the pandemic mostly because I hate thinking about what a horrible time it was. However, since Carreira's collection of poems doesn't shy away from addressing the ugliness as well as the bittersweet moments, it made it feel very cathartic to read. Definitely recommend!
