When a serial killer enters the chat, nothing will be the same. What began as a peaceful union between Coldarius and Platirius quickly sours when two kings become bitter enemies.
While Gallium and Legend are unwilling pawns in the killer's sinister game, sabotage centers the Coldarians at the heart of an unforgivable act.
The first book of Coldarius was a fighter punching above its weight class for sure, but this second half of D.L. Hannah’s Platirius prequel duology really saves its most devastating moments for last. Even after reading all her previous books in quick succession this year, it was still tough to predict exactly how this book would unfold, and as I read it in one sitting, Hannah’s narrative threw every curveball it could. No spoilers, but just a request to any readers who haven’t begun this saga yet - the drama Force is strong with this one. I’ll miss Coldarius and this arc of the saga for sure, but before the summer is over, I’ll be able to start reading the next series chronologically, the new trilogy of JanIus in all its glorious royal purple packaging.
I thought Coldarius part 1 was knocked out of the park, but this second part brought it home. I thought I knew what was going to happen but nope! You never know where she’s going to go with the story and that’s why I’ll buy anything she writes. I’ll read the Coldarius duology again when we go on vacation. Yeah, they’re THAT GOOD! Thank you again, D.L. Hannah. I’m looking forward to seeing you on the big screen.
Tbh when I read the first book, I thought it would be left there. I couldn't see how the story could go further. I guess that's why I got C's in writing because the second book was even better. I could never write like that. But seriously, get both books. Platireus was so good but this one? Omg! A must have!
The first one blew me away and this one did too. I liked the different queens and learning about Coldarius. The ending was on point. Very sad, and I won't spoil it for anybody but wow... I like how she (Hannah) moves.
