Rate this book
How to use writing rituals and routines to be a more productive and successful blogger Let’s face it; blogging is hard work, and finding the motivation to blog consistently can be hard to come by, but without consistency, no blogger succeeds. Think about it! One thing that all successful bloggers have in common is consistency, and for many of them, writing rituals and routines are what keep them motivated and on track with their blogging. The great news is, anyone -- even people with very limited time to blog -- can publish blog content consistently. The key isn’t great writing skills, fancy degrees, or buckets of free time. The key is developing a custom-designed blogging routine that works for you. In the Blogger’s Quick Guide to Writing Rituals and Routines, you’ll discover a step-by-step plan to creating your personal blogging routine, which will result Getting rid of mental clutter and freeing your mind to write Beating writer's block Reducing blog-related anxiety Scheduling writing time without being a slave to your calendar Meeting your word count goals even when you have days with zero time to write Growing your blog content in as little as 15 minutes a day Getting more blogging done by getting away from it all Nurturing your blogging soul . . . and so much more! Learning the secrets of blogging rituals and routines won’t take you all day. When I polled my readers, I learned that people want content delivered in bite-size pieces, that can be quickly consumed. This inspired me to create my Blogger’s Quick Guide Series. The books in this series are 10,000 words or less, and can be read in about an hour. Writing prompts are included for those who want to spend more time reflecting on the content of each chapter. If you prefer to listen than read, the books include instructions on how to easily get an audio version of the books absolutely free. What are you waiting for? Scroll to the top of the page and click on the buy button, and before your head hits the pillow tonight, you can be on your way to creating your very own, personalized blogging routine.

Good informations

If you are new to blogging this is a good quick read. A lot of the info is basic but 2 tips in the book were completely new, lightbulb moments for me and will change the way I structure my blogging routine!

Routines are magic spells. They are the things that mean you are already halfway through doing something before you have started to think about doing it. I get up every morning, put the kettle on, and unpack the dishwasher while I’m waiting for it to boil. I race to see if I can do it before the kettle finishes. I don’t think about it; it’s just done.

I don’t even remember where I got this; it might have been a download with a 50 piece bundle from Goodriter - a site for writers

And yes, it’s meant to be spelt like that.
This edition includes an offer for a free audio book and a sign up link for a longer course - also free.
It’s good advice: a few things that I have read elsewhere, she likes mindmapping (that doesn’t work for me), and she doesn’t like a rigid schedule, but like everything, it’s all about the system that works for you.
So read it, try it out, if it doesn’t work for you try something else.
There are a heap of extra links and giveaways, and it’s all good, sensible advice for any kind of writing, not just blogging, and it’s a quick read at 50 pages.

Don't totally agree with her about everything regarding having a ritual or routine, or about having "writer dates" and getaways, but I do subscribe to at least the theory behind this book. Habit helps make writing easier and you have to get away from your work now and then to recharge.

This book was OK; better for newbies.

It was just ok. More experienced bloggers need a lot more than what is in this book. Neither yay nor nay.
