Nova’s life is far from easy. A young girl carrying the weight of her mother’s addiction and the responsibility of caring for her sister, Legacie, she struggles to find any sense of normalcy. Trapped in a world she never chose, Nova dreams of a childhood she never got to experience. Her only refuge is her best friend, Brooklyn. Nova is carrying a heart full of secrets and sorrow, never knew peace until Kingston stepped into her life.
Kingston, scarred by his rough past and searching for his own way, finds an unexpected sense of peace in Nova’s presence. As they grow closer, they discover that their shared pain holds the key to healing—if they can face the past and the storms threatening their futures.
As their lives become increasingly entwined, they are tested by unforeseen challenges and heartache. Together, they must confront their darkest moments and find the strength to move forward. Will their bond be enough to survive the trials ahead, or will it shatter under the weight of their histories?
Whew this book was so good. I cannot wait to read part 2. I really hope asada didn’t do no weird stuff to legacie she so innocent and really don’t deserve to go through anything like what nova is going through. Nova needs to just leave that house and never go back once she gets legacie back. I hope Kingston doesn’t get no hard time. Nova really needs him. He’s a good one and I can see him taking nova and legacie away and treating them right. Brooklyn is definitely a real one shes what a best friend is supposed to be. I hope her mom believes her about her disgusting boyfriend.
