I recently acquired a WWII Winchester 1897 Trench Gun and was looking for information about the history of this shotgun including when they were made, proof marks, and serial number range and was fortunate to come across this superb resource. This book details the United States military history of Combat shotguns, which includes my 1897 trench gun. The clueless turd who gave this book a two star review obviously never read the book. If you are looking for information regarding Us combat shotguns look no further you have found the right book.
