There is a big Pipal tree in front of our house-just facing my study window. It seems so near –it seems that if I take out my hand out of the window, I can touch the branches. It’s winter time now in India and every winter it sheds all its leaves. In the middle of December, if you look at the tree, it will look like a skeleton of a tree, with not a single leaf. As if the tree is dead. Then comes the spring and new lease of life is sprinkled to the tree. New leaves emerging, yellow giving way to a wonderful combination of red and green –as if it is a festival of life. Sometimes when I am alone in the study, I think that the human life is like the tree. When winter comes-the life goes inside the cocoon. Then comes the spring again-and it is a new song of life. Human life always fights against all odds, against all fragility-towards a new ray of hope. The story of life is always this prayer of hope. Sometimes there are ups; sometimes there are downs, sometimes human life faces a crushing defeat-but it is that hope that keeps human alive. Literature that speak of this hope are one of my favorite readings. That’s why ‘ A second spring-brings new hope’ by Sandhya Jane touches my heart.
Second Spring Reviews: The title and the cover design of the book “Second Spring” work by Sandhya Jane is eye catching. The cover design is soothing but you can’t make out what it conveys about till you indulge in reading. The two strong protagonist of the story are Avantika and Rohan and the story revolves around these two main characters and the way it has been portrayed by the author Sandhya is enchanting. It is a romantic number and quite a common story for the fiction but the way she has blended the characters is intriguing and the language is crisp and composed. The author’s writing is matured and confident and has picked up the characters very well and the narration of the story is beyond measures. The story stands indifferent from a romantic fiction because it has been written from different points of view of both the lead protagonists, it’s not an easy task but the author has justified her writing skill. I fell in love with the character of Avantika, a smart, intelligent and matured banker in her late thirties, who enjoys a top notch position in bank and she is admired by all. She manages her professional & personal life meticulously, managing her only son Aarav as a single mother. Life has not been rewarding at personal level but she has managed her emotions and moved well in life nurturing her love, Aarav wonderfully. The character of Aarav as a young boy has been handled well and it reflects the matured seasoning of the kid by his great mother Avantika. She is pulling well in life meeting the demands of a job and a single mother, till she meets Rohan, a man in his thirties. Rohan’s smart demeanour attracts the attention of Avantika and she finds him caring and they gel well. Avantika finds her longing for Rohan unusual since she has worked long with male fraternity and never ever got distracted. They share good chemistry and their friendship blossoms. Life gives her a second chance to pursue her love-life, the only perspective in her life which is incomplete and she finds solace and is cheerful in the company of Rohan. There is a connection of hearts from both ends but they conceal their feelings. Rohan undermines the yearnings of Avantika but he is dreaded with the idea of Avantika been accepted by her conservative family. He refrains meetings from Avantika but it does not go a long way. In one of the weak moments, they confess their love for each other but at the same time he receives a call from his family about his marriage fix up. He can’t dare to go against the wishes of his family and breaches the trust of Avantika. Avantika is heartbroken with the attitude of Rohan and she moves out of India giving a blow to her triumphant career. She treads cautiously in life and moves towards spirituality to suppress her crush for Rohan and to spend life peacefully with her son, Aarav who needs more attention of Avantika. The daring Avantika moves with time though her crush for Rohan never diminishes but sinks in. Life gives them a chance to meet and this time Rohan is ready to surrender but Avantika does not give him a chance to prove. She don’t want to risk her life again though her son Aarav too wants Rohan to join in. Aarav has seen his mother suffering in absence of Rohan. Avantika becomes judgmental and weighs pros & cons in choosing Rohan and immaculately takes the decision to part ways with him. She does gives her life a second chance but not with Rohan. The author has done justice to her writing, to know more who is the lucky one to get Avantika, do grab a copy for yourself and read it for yourself. The story concludes with happy ending. Pros: A simple romantic story pruned well with a backdrop of modern society and the strong characteristic of Avantika mesmerizes the reader. Cons: I could not conclude any as the pros outweighs the cons. If you wish to go for a refreshing read and how the woman of determination fares through the adversities and finally succeeds in her take. Review
This is a heart melting story deals with Avantika and Rohan. The story is narrated in two parts, part one deals with love story between Avantika and Rohan and best part is step by step their love is proceeding with hardships. After playing hide and seek with their feelings they finally had a confession. Life is full of uncertainty, so with the love birds. Second part is about new start in Avantika's life. It seems you are reading a fresh part and second part is full of suspense which grabs readers attention more. I loved the end which I never thought will happen and it was wonderful. I enjoyed reading this book. The style of writing was simple yet full of emotions and book comprises of Avantika's and Rohan's viewpoint which is quite different but interesting.
Positives
I really like the style of narrating full of emotions. All the characters are strongly built and I like Avantika's character through all hardships she managed everything well in her career being a single parent. I also like its ending which gives us a message to be in real present.
Negatives
There's no need for extra explanation in the story. In the second part at the starting, Rahul's character was ignored and when I read about him I was bit bored.
Favourite quote
Life is beautiful. Life is great. It has no place for confusion, no time for regrets ,and no chance for living in the past....just the present and today seems to be a "real present".
A large number of companies are hiring business analysts for helping them identity and develop the right IT and other systems for their business. This book on Business Analysis provides detailed information on the various queries which a business analyst could face while giving an interview or at a later stage in the career. The book is in question and answer format, and fairly comprehensive covering a large number of queries which may be asked. It includes basic questions like the different types of businesses and their business models to more complex flowcharts, requirement assessment and validation. The book is useful for those who are planning a career in business analysis.
This book has been designed by the author keeping in mind the difficulty that candidates face while preparing the topic. I liked the approach of explaining the things first and then going on with question and answers format. This in-turn helps to better prepare the subject and be ready for the interviews of the job properly. Would like to thank the author for making the topic quite simple and easy to understand.
This book by Sandhya jane is a conscious attempt to make Business analysis as simple and comprehensive as possible. Moreover, the book has been designed in such a way that it helps the readers to prepare for the interviews properly. I think the USP of this book is the simple and easy language that makes the understanding of the things quite easy.
Very nicely written by Sandhya Jane.. I love the strong characters of women portrayed in the story.. And the way the story gently moves and unfolds.. Makes you cry and laugh through the book..
I joined the #BrunchBookChallenge at the beginning of the year 2016 , if only to keep track of the books I read. Looking back on the years gone by, the genres of my choice have been so predictable- blood, murder, crime ,conspiracy theories, historical crimes and all that blah. Oh and I love romance too. Mills and Boon romances have always been the lifter of my sagging spirits. They reiterate my optimism and belief in the indomitable female spirit. So when hubby dear went to check out the new library in his office, he picked up an intense Crime fiction written by James Rollins for me,knowing for sure I would read it. My heart was warmed plenty by the gesture, but I could only ask myself,"Am I that predictable?" That doesn't bode too well for the woman in me. So I need to dither from the path oft traveled. So I saw Blogadda offering copies of a romantic story written by an Indian author, I so needed to click on the link.
Absolutely no crime, not even a slap. No, Not a passionate "I couldn't help myself but have sex with him" kind of a story either. And it's not yet a soon to be a motion picture story either. I know it's not good news financially for the writer, but it's an unadulterated story. I'm not going to put in spoilers ,only that the ending is happy.
I started the book with few expectations . And wasn't too thrilled with the book being written in first person almost as a diary entry. Two versions, one the female perspective and the other the male protagonists side. The characters well thought out. The lady ,very strong, independent, individualistic and focused. The man, ambitious, rooted ,aware of his shortcomings and not conniving. He is portrayed to have very strong family ties. That Mes Amis, is rare to see nowadays. Youngsters are generally portrayed to be opportunistic and ruthless. Especially when they see an older woman in play. Well, he seems like a boy with a good value system. I hope my son turns out like that too.
As the pages turned quickly by,the narrative grew on me. Circumstances portrayed are exceptionally really life like. It doesn't feel far fetched at all. While reading this book , Nida Fazli's couplet rang well in my mind...
Kabhi kissi ko mukkamal jahan nahi milta, Kahin zameen to Kahin aasaman nahin milta...
(Nobody ever gets it all in life. There'll always be just one thing missing...)
A successful young professional, with an adorable son and a wonderfully supportive family doesn't have a man in her life. And then he enters , And wrecks havoc. Then he leaves and takes away all that she has painstakingly built. She tries to build it up once again, but makes sacrifices on the professional front and then it all works out in the end.
That's the most of the story. Sandhya Jane has taken an unorthodox approach to the love story, keeping the love alive . The plot and interesting people she weaves into the story keep the pages turning. And as a good love story should end... All is well that ends well.
Suffice to say, I will be recommending this book to many. Not because of the love story type angle. But because the words made me all fuzzy and warm and happy inside.
It's rare ,you see a book like so,from an Indian author. So kudos to you,Sandhya Jane. May you write many more such warm fuzzy stories.
PLOT The basic plot of the story is the stereotypical relationship of a older woman and a younger man. In India, it is seen to be not acceptable and hence the inner turmoils of Avantika, both as a mother and as a thinker of what the society will think, is portrayed beautifully. When I read the book I found myself in the shoes of Avantika and I thought about what a girl should do in these circumstances. It made me think about things that I don’t usually think. This as a awesome job in the ‘story’ department.
CHARACTERS The book skips between the point of view of Avantika and Rohan an both the characters were written very well. I could read and know which character was telling there side of story because the character’s voice were up to the point.
I liked Rohan from the start because he was a caring and good natured (did I mentioned very good looking?) person and he almost did the correct things for all the right reasons. I almost thought his decisions in the novel were correct and anyone would have done the same thing.
Whereas Avantika, especially in the second half of the book lost somewhere. I connected with her in the first half well and good but as the second half started I felt like she was doing so many things wrong. Like for example (This is not a spoiler because I’m just mentioning the book cover blurb here) when Rohan and Avantika part ways, Avantika becomes an almost ascetic as she turns into this spiritual person which really seems awkward. Not because I didn’t want her to be spiritual or I have any hate for the people who are ascetics but because the turn as so fast that I didn’t really believed it.
Sure, the author hinted on her being a spiritual person from the beginning but the whole concept just didn’t please me.
WRITING STYLE The writing style was good for this novel. With simple words used the author did a good job with the different character voices. The dialogues were so swoon-worthy and I wanted more of the dialogues between the main characters without them being shy most of the time (I get it, they were shy but I wanted them to talk more too!)
Also the ending!!! OHMYFJFHVJ!! What was that! I’m trying really hard not to give any spoilers but what was that? I swear I didn’t see that coming in ages! And that made me happy because half the time I predict what’s going to happen in the books and I’m left getting disappointed because I guessed it. But reading this book ending was like walking into a wall straight on. I had to reread the lines again and again because I literally thought I was dreaming! And IU imagined the author smiling at me and saying “Nope. You’re not dreaming, my girl. You just had a book attack*. And you’ll be fine soon.**”
*I invented this word. It is a mix of a heart attack because of a book. TADDDAAA! Book attack!
**This translates to- “No you’ll never be fine. You’ll spend days thinking about this and then you’ll probably faint after thinking about it some more.”
MY REVIEW
You’ll like it if: 1) You enjoy a light romance 2) You are looking for a short novel with an emotion of feels 3) You are looking for an adventure. Then I’ll suggest you read this. Probably better to read the ending than go bungee jumping! You’ll not like it if: 1) If you prefer a serious read 2) If you don’t like romance 3) If you have a weak heart because that ENDING!!
A second spring is a story of unsaid promises and unrequited love; the kind that sometimes takes years to get over with. Sometimes it changes your outlook and you are just living and not enjoying life. This is a heart wrenching tale of pinning for love and finding it in the unlikeliest of place!. Avantika is his boss and Rohan is the handsome yet shy guy. They fall for each other and yet refuse to acknowledge it to each other. Time flies and eventually when they both do confess; life has other plans! Life is never simple and the path of love even more so. This book reflects on this sentiment; of how difficult it is to show your vulnerability and confess that you love someone. Time and love don’t keep waiting and sometimes we are left behind and just keep trying. Avantika is the confident, successful boss and a mother who juggles and balances her work and life. She is a star upon which Rohan, the handsome, yet introvert dude from a small city gazes from afar yet hesitates to touch. More so if you are in an office environment and the boss! This is a story about how even the most confident and successful person can feel hesitant and unsure where love is concerned. Avantika loves Rohan but fails to confess to him and with the added pressure of age and being his boss it gets even more difficult for Rohan. Add the typical issue of waiting for the right moment – which never comes and both being introverts and self contained it was a wonder they did get together. The story and the premise are all very relevant and expressed in the right way. The book adds to the twists and turns of love and life with some surprises right till the end! The story unfolds from the point of view of both the protagonists and reading the same thing in two different chapters from two different points of view is quite different than what I expected. The author takes her own sweet time to just to get the two together; it is like a cat and mouse game because when Rohan is interested Avantika cold shoulders him and vice versa. It is like the most fun of falling in love is when we are trying to find a hold in the other person’s life. This is a very pleasant read as it has a very solid story but the long winded ruminations and the various tense situations add a lot of drama to the story. The part where Rohan is finally free to pursue Avantika was most interesting and fast paced portion of the novel. There is a lot of substance in the book as Avantika is shown as a woman of courage and spirit. Even Rohan gets his act together and I loved the surprise element (read to find out) in this love story that comes at the end. The author gave a lot of thought to the story and to the ending of this love story and this new edition and has ironed out many details that make it a pleasant read for a lovely weekend.
The story begins with a introduction of the lead character - Avantika who was heading a leading bank, of its operations in India. She held a very lucrative profile which made her to travel all through the year both National and International. Despite her success in her career, she did not had a great personal life. She raised her son Aarav as a single mother as she could not get in terms with her ex-beau Sanjeev who had abandoned her. Being a single mother, she became very much protective about Aarav.
During this time Rohan joins her bank. Avantika happened to meet him earlier as her car has been intercepted by a 2 wheeler in which Rohan was riding the pillion. Both of them had a spark at the very first sight but had to carry on as it happened on a public place but when Rohan came to join her organisation, Avantika was stunned and happy.
Author had captured the expressions very nicely in the whole story as initially to be honest, I was feeling a bit bored but as and when the story progressed, I could not stop finish reading it in one stretch.
Avantika made sure that Rohan reported to her. She had a soft corner for him. Here Avantika's personal assistant Wendy played a vital role because it was her who gave hint to Rohan as to where Avantika was living, on the later half of the story.
Avantika and Rohan had to go for many meetings together due to business requirement and during one of the travel, they both crosses their limits but on the very next day when Avantika was still asleep, Rohan had to abandon her as his marriage got fixed by her parents with Shreya.
There was no connection or touch between Avantika and Rohan. Avantika was devastated by Rohan's action and goes to US and settles there in a lower profile. Rohan on the other hand faced turbulence in his life since Shreya, after becoming a mother for his Son had applied for divorce. She wanted to be with her ex-boy friend Adi and wanted to settle in Australia along with him.
Here I must say there are lot of twists and turns in this novel which would make any one to pick up interest on what would happen next.
Now Rohan wanted to mend his ways with Avantika and hence he traces her where abouts with the help of Wendy. In the mean time, Avantika was leading a peaceful life and she was attracted to Steve, a Cop. When Rohan makes contact with her, lot of things happen including him meeting with an accident, Avantika falling sick and so on and so forth.
At one point of time Aarav wanted Avantika to get back to Rohan. There was also another twist in the story at this juncture and what decision did Avantika take? Did she get back to Rohan or did she decide to live, alone forever?
It is a compelling read for sure. A well knitted story with perfection. I wish Sandhya Jane all the very best as I am sure she will go a long way in the literary career....
The Author’s style of writing can be termed not only as matured but extremely confident too. The Book is unique in the sense that the whole book has been written from two different points of views. One chapter has been written from the point of view of Avantika and the other one from Rohan, both the lead protagonists. Although this is a very difficult way of writing, but the author has pulled it off with such finesse that it seems very natural. While doing so, she has done full justice to the male point of view, and that too, without sounding judgemental or without taking sides of either of them.
Generally, when one tries to echo two different opinions on the same subject, repetitiveness cannot be ignored. However, the author has done a commendable job on that too.
About the book : The book is about Avantika’s journey through love and life. It has the elements of romance mixed with inner struggle. It is all about giving second chances to oneself and deliberates upon the complexities of human relationships.
The Synopsis: Here is a woman, a complete control freak, a bossy character... A man with a carefree attitude .... Love blossoms between these two entirely different creatures...
Avantika, a successful investment banker, a single mother, who has a difficult past is struggling against her growing attraction for her charming colleague Rohan. She decides to tread cautiously where Rohan is concerned.
Rohan, an attractive, smart, aspiring investment banker, two ranks junior to her is a part of Avantika’s team. Even he struggles to gain the foothold in his career, while at the same time battling against his strong desire for Avantika.
They struggle ends when both give in, only to make way for a disastrous exit when Rohan chooses duty over love. He goes on a guilt trip for breaking Avantika’s heart. On the other hand, Avantika finds solace in spirituality.
Will they ever be able to meet again? Will she accept him back in her life ever?
From the Reader’s point of view: When I went through the blurb of the book, I thought that it would be yet another Boy meets Girl story; they meet; they fight; then they are unsure before reaching agreement, etc.. I was proved wrong by the author. The author was creative enough to allow Avantika to make decisions which were not only unique but far more sensible too.
Cover Page: A beautiful cover page, which could have been better designed.
Avantika is a single, working mother. She is strong-willed, determined, disciplined, intelligent, and beautiful and the list goes on. (I am in love with Avantika.) For her, life has always been hard. Circumstances have made her what she is today. She doesn’t regret her choices.
Rohan is a man in his early thirties who joins Avantika’s workplace. He is caring and adorable fellow. Avantika and Rohan’s friendship blossoms. Avantika feels very comfortable in discussing her personal issues with Rohan and so does Rohan. He has had a huge crush on Avantika right from the day he met her. Avantika too feels her connection with Rohan to be of something more than just friendship. Are they in love?
And then the ‘D’ day dawns. Rohan and Avantika cannot conceal their feelings for each other within their hearts and they give in. On the same day, Rohan receives a message from his sister which changes his life altogether. Rohan leaves Avantika and disappears from her life completely. Why did Rohan exit from Avantika’s life? How does Avantika cope up with this loss? Does Rohan come back to her? Will Avantika take him back?
My take:
When I went through the blurb of the book, I thought it would be the same old, filmy story where the characters meet, fall in love and then an incident occurs which drifts them apart and finally, they meet towards the end of the story. But I proved wrong by Sandhya Ma’am when I was done with the book. The story is one of the kinds. It’s refreshing and a mature read. Each chapter instills in the minds of reader a curiosity and that makes this book unputdownable.
The narration is simple and engaging. The story has been narrated from Avantika and Rohan’s point of view. It gives the reader an idea about feelings of both protagonists. I liked Avantika’s character. She is perfect lady. I have always wanted to be like her. She serves to be my inspiration.
Likes: Avantika’s dedication towards her job and family. I liked the manner in which Avantika deals with her problems. Avantika’s matured behavior The climax
I rate:

Overall, Second Spring is a roller-coaster ride of emotions. Avantika’s journey is worth travelling. A refreshing, touching and awesome read!
Spring is the time of the year when the nature is at it’s best spreading beauty and you can sense the fragrance of love all around. Whether in context of flora or fauna or for-that-matter of fact the human species, all get blessed with the mesmerizing beauty. Literary speaking, spring is used synonymously to represent the onset of love life or say welcoming the love blossoms in life. This story by Sandhya Jane is about being blessed with love for the second time in her life!
The author Sandhya depicts maturity in her style of writing and the treatment she has given to the story. At times, I felt as if she has portrayed the Rohan’s character as a weak individual but then I tried to give it a second thought. This time, not as a reader or a female but as a male mind that wished to follow love but was pulled away by life. Then, I could empathize with what Sandhya wanted out of him.
I always admire strong females who choose to live life their way without compromising on their duties and responsibilities. She is the one, who has won my heart.
The dilemma and guilt of a male lover is expressed in a balanced manner. How he finds himself in a pot-hole and feels his life becoming burdensome and finally how he admits to his love, giving it a chance one more time – all the actions are well crafted. Though, a high emotional quotient prevails all through the script the reality of their love life is much more emotional. It is heart-warming to learn what binds both of them together after separating and before considering reuniting. You need to give it a read to find out how winds change direction and love finds its way to be freed from the binding shackles.
This comes as a recommended read for female readers especially the ones who feel devastating storm in their love life and are still waiting for making some choice. You will also get to know the sort of questions and turmoil that prevails in male psyche in such conditions. Go ahead and let the love blossom coming spring!

Each describes their own parts and emotions. Avantika is a single parent and a determined lady. She meets Rohan who is six years his junior. She eventually falls in love with Rohan and Rohan too love her dearly but couldn’t hold her hand so he leaves her in a hotel room describing his situation that how he has to fulfill his son’s duties. Avantika move on and then Rohan comes back in her life. But would she accept him? My verdict – This is a nice and smooth story. Language is good and understandable. Story tells us how a woman should go through her life, handling all the difficult circumstances. Avantika is an inspiring character for all the ladies out there. I didn’t find any flaws in it as such but it is a onetime read.
It’s a simple tale of extra-ordinary love. Love is not something which will come of age, nor will it come of your control over it. You cannot pre-ordain destiny when it comes to love and its myriad ways. It will come silently and it will get on to your head before you can even acknowledge its presence. The female protagonist, Avantika, is an independent, self-assured, shrewd and determined lady of fortitude. She is a proud single mother; who manages her role of a competent working professional, with as much ease and efficiency, as her role of a loving and caring single mother. Everything is just alright in her world till her encounter with Rohan. Rohan is a charming and handsome young man who happens to be reporting to Avantika as her boss. Their engagement starts off as a professional one; however, along the way, they develop a sort of bond. Avantika eventually starts treading down that lane of love which she had forbidden herself in all those years.
Rohan is initially intimidated by Avantika’s strong personality. But he also gets to see her different Avatars of a nurturing, caring, witty and an over-sensitive lady. Rohan is a sweet negotiator as Avantika used to call him. His charm and easy going manner is something totally complementary to Avantika’s control freak nature. When it comes to work, she grills just as everyone with Rohan being no exception. But, as Rohan starts knowing her better, he too develops a liking for her. Rohan belongs to a conservative family who would never approve of his relationship with a lady six years older than himself and already having a son.
Will Rohan be able to muster up courage and take a stand for their love? Will Rohan abandon Avantika? How would Avantika deal with loss of love? Will Rohan and Avantika’s path cross again? Will Avantika be able to forget her love? Would Rohan be able to live peacefully with the weight of his decisions? Will their destiny bring them together?
This book talks about the love and life of two people – Avantika – a single working mom and Rohan, the handsome guy who works under her. The two fall for each other but when things fall into place, Rohan leaves her without even saying goodbye, to get married to the girl of his parents choice. A heartbroken Avantika moves abroad where she meets Steve- a cop and a fellow student in the University where she is pursuing a Doctorate degree.Rohan tries to get back to Avantika after a failed marriage. Do they get back together ? Well, that is the part of the story that will surprise you! What is really liked about this book is that the narration takes place through the voices of Avantika and Rohan ,which I found refreshing. The personalities are portrayed strongly. The author has done a good job of carving out the nature / temperament of the characters. The emotion of the man who has knowingly ditched the women he loved is depicted in a touching manner. It is indeed a love story but it also hints at traditionalism. It shows how the previous generation still have expectations from the kids and how the children go beyond their means and emotions to live up to the expectations even though they have to sacrifice a lot on their part. The ending was not something I expected. It has such a twist that will leave you with a surprised look on your face!!! It is not the stereo-type love story you read / hear everyday! The only thing that I found on the downside was the pace of the story in the middle of the book. The narration of what happens in the 7 years that pass by is explained a little slowly and it could have set in a faster pace. The title book of the surely conveys the story but with a huge twist. It was a nice read, I like it especially coz a woman is portrayed with a strong character background and takes a wise decision at the end.
The book is about Avantika's adventure through adoration and life. It has the components of sentiment blended with internal battle. It is about giving renewed opportunities to oneself and thinks upon the complexities of human connections. The portrayal is basic and locks in. The story has been described from Avantika and Rohan's perspective. It gives the reader a thought regarding sentiments of both heroes. I loved Avantika's character. She is immaculate woman. I have for the longest time been itching to be similar to her. She serves to be my motivation.
The physical fascination was dissolving without end only the sentiment keeping an eye out for him made me upbeat. The flash of Rohan, stayed unaltered. Be that as it may, the senseless considered consistent watching him around or having him quite recently offering path to the new sentiments of adoration. The adoration I could understand was more significant, much more profound than the physical fascination. It just intended to see him cheerful. In this procedure I could sense that his need, his inclination, his solace were eclipsing my inclination. Might be giving up my own particular sentiments and relinquishing my joy over his need. This is again the old school thought about His need over my need. The lyric in the finishing up part gives you a sentiment warmth. It appears you are perusing the entire book again in another and fragile way. There are a few amazements holding up at last. They cross your eyes in a steady progression, making it difficult to leave the book. Each section has something new. The end is exceptional, totally sudden and it makes your perusing background delightful.

Second Spring does all the justice to reader by taking one for a good ride of Avantika's life. It generously narrates characters well enough for one to get lost in it. It's disturbing, it's catching, It's riveting. Touches the finer details easily and flawlessly yet making it to the point. There's not a single page which you would want to skip. Each and every part of it has a soul. It penetrates deep in mind. Narration is so crisp, that it felt like I am watching a movie. It touches one life so smoothly that you ought to love it! Must read!!!

AVI[A Very Intelligent]lady, who is always biased in each and every thoughts and actions. A second Chance sometimes a blessing or sometimes a curse/a lesson to be learned . in Avantika's life both happened and even a courageous person can't hold their tears for so long which made her spend some days at the hospital. And her kids is so affectionate for what they want for their mom.On the other hand Rohan who is smart and attractive lacked in caring for avi which made her worry how can she take rest of her life with him . His priorities towards his work above love and family made him slip his path a while and later when he realized what was his mistakes , it was too late to appease avi. but author made a strong turn here making avantika think the best way she want her life to be . "Love is not about age , Love is not about Marriage , and Love is not about society. Love is none of this. Love just means silent acceptance."
Wishing the very best for the Author and hope she delivers the great ones like this .
The story is about Avantika who is six years elder to Rohan who is her junior in office and falls for him. The story is around how they meet, how they work, how close they come and Rohan's sudden disappearance from life and again back is what the story is will he reciprocate Avantika's love? If yes then will there be complication? If no then will Avantika be heart-broken & will it affect their work?
The best part of the book is its ending, I wanted the same end. I was upset (can't disclose as it tells about the whole story and I will tell you in message about it) but happy when it ended, and to be sure i read the end thrice to confirm. I loved Aarav and Steve's character in the book. But then even I wanted to know what if the second-part wasn't the way it had happened, i am thinking about it.
The flaws in the book will be few grammatical mistake which can be overlooked coz of the story.
If you are romantic buff and wants to read what love is all about read this book.It wont disappoint.
A simple yet engaging and entertaining read the story is narrated by two different people who are in fact the main protagonists of the story. They share their side of the story thus creating a bond with the reader. The author has through their life, their relationships and their thought processes tried to bring out the complexities in relationships. There is romance, denial, realization, pain, inner struggle, search for inner peace and a lot more. In short the story is more of the turmoil that love causes in the life of the protagonist Avantika. It is also about giving love and life a second chance and making the right choices.
The story has its fair measure of twists and turns. But what I liked best is the climax. I couldn’t help but say, “Oh!”
The characters though few are fleshed out well and one can easily relate to their strengths and weaknesses, their emotions and actions.
The pace is fine and language is simple making it an easy read.
‘Second Spring’ is a novella of Avantika the protagonist; a second chance on making choices in life and in relationships. It’s about her life, relationships, struggles etc. The chapters are narrated by the two main characters Avantika and Rohan. Avantika an intelligent, mature, single working mother who manages her professional and personal life methodically. Rohan is a colleague who works with her; Avantika is drawn to him though Rohan in six years younger than her.
Eventually both express their love towards each other. However fate has other plans and Rohan leaves Avantika on the crossroads of life. Later on, he reenters her life after going through an unsuccessful marriage leading to divorce. The closing chapters had an interesting twist which seemed appropriate.
I give it a 3.5/5. Won this book as a giveaway from Goodreads. Thanks both of the author and Goodreads!
Romance is not one of my favorite genres. Yes, for someone who writes romance (Me – Read here), I am not happy reading romance. Anyway, this book’s blurb had more potential than a mere romance novel. For starters, it was breaking stereotypes, Female Boss – Male Subordinate, interesting, isn’t it? Anyway, I read the novel solely for this new age, breaking-gender roles plot.
The book, however was a cliched romance novel, but the best part about the book is that it was quite interesting and quick moving. As you can read in the blurb, it is the age-old, boy loving girl, boy leaving girl, and the boy coming back to the girl types. Yes, the book was good despite being predictable.
Second spring is the story of Avantika and Rohan. The characters are very clear as they explain themselves, one by one. We get a lot of information right from the start about how their lives work and what role everything plays. The major characters are introduced well, without any extra clicks of queries.
The poem in the concluding chapter gives you a feeling of warmth. It seems you are reading the whole book again in a new and delicate way. There are some surprises waiting in the end. They cross your eyes one after the other, making it hard to leave the book. Every chapter has something new. The end is remarkable, completely unexpected and it makes your reading experience delightful.
