These poem-based stories explore different answers to their respective questions, with some answers whimsical, others rooted in folklore or science, and many of them inspired by real answers from real kids. By presenting inclusivity in a subtle, organic way, this series also strives to present young readers with generalized exposure to different cultural ideologies, fostering acceptance of diversity at an early age. The primary concept, however, is that by embracing the chaos of bedtime, and indulging busy little minds with creative poems and beautiful artwork, children will be able to rest calmer, easier, and more satisfied, allowing for the much-coveted smooth transition to sleep.
I think the alien is too scary for a children's book. The illustrations were excellent, and the story was superb. I enjoyed the poetry, too. I like the brevity of this book, and the book cover is a pleasant touch.
"What Is the Moon Made Of? The Very Important Question Series, Book 1" by Jhiela Mirdamadi Poynter takes young readers on a beautiful journey of discovery. The book playfully explores the age-old question of what the moon is made of, presenting a variety of imaginative and sometimes humorous "answers." This lighthearted approach not only entertains young children but also subtly introduces them to the concept of scientific inquiry and the importance of critical thinking. The book's strength lies in its ability to spark curiosity and encourage imagination. By presenting a range of fanciful ideas about the moon's composition, it invites children to think creatively and question the world around them. With its engaging storytelling, charming illustrations, and emphasis on critical thinking, is a book that will captivate young minds, inspire wonder, and encourage a lifelong love of learning.
This was a fun book to read. I loved the crazy theories about what the moon is made of. I think children will like those theories and probably think of new ones. This series of books teaches children that they have to use their imagination and give creative ideas. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A cute little book about the moon from a child’s perspective. It is easy to read to a young child who should enjoy it. Short and able to complete in one sitting- perhaps as the child goes to bed. Recommended for young children.
