This is a great book for simplifying early maths. I know, I know. You could do with any old textbook, but I wasn't inspired by a method of teaching with them, and when the kids don't get it, you need to find something else. This helped me return to a simpler way of describing things, a few activities that show, not tell, the kids why things work the way they do, and really get back to the roots of math.
