I was considering purchasing those cards when I came upon a youtube deck review that showed all of the cards. I was stunned at how fast and clear was my interpretation of each one. Just a quick look at an image allowed me to understand it in my own way. At that point I knew that I must have them. The cards are amazing and so versatile that they can be interpreted in a number of ways, depending what suits one the most. I like the fact that there is no numbers or descriptions/ key words written on them as is the case in many oracle decks. There is also no info on the specific cards in the guidbook. The added booklet has just some useful tips on ways you can use the cards like spreads or daily draws and on combining the 2 decks. There is no specific system to the cards or a given explanation of the meaning so each user can work with them and interpret them the way they see fit.
Another great feature is that the cards come in a card sized packet inside a larger box that has a cut out in front and a small hole in the back, so it can double as a frame for cards that you can hang on the wall or place somewhere easily. It can be used to display your daily or weekly draw card and make it easier to contemplate it.
The deck of evocative images serve processes and practices of journaling, quiet reflection in the imagination, processing inner dynamics, and self-discovery to name a few. In the same way they serve and offer insights into our relationships with others and our perspectives on the world. I have used them for personal reflection as resources for my spiritiual and psychological journey. I also use them in my "Art in Service to Spiritual Formation" class at the Charlotte Spirituality Center where we explore images that speak to where we are in our spirits, on our journeys, and create works of heart that always say more than words can convey. My students create collages, clay pieces, multi media pieces, mandalas, drawings, etc. This year several students, including myself, used the images on these cards to allow the deeper voice of our souls to speak. Great resource!! I have both Decks 1 and 2.
This deck of Soul Cards moved me in many ways. Each card calls out to a special part of me, and the timing of certain cards being pulled is always amazing and perfect. I love the abstract artwork and interpreting meanings that relate to what I am going through. These are really wonderful to work with and for the inner-self to connect with the higher self. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, there is always something for you with Soul Cards :) The cards themselves really provoke the psyche, your creativity, inner wisdom and intuition! You can also use them with exercises in journal writing, storytelling, and visualization.
