This was to me a relief after having read the atrocious Dharma Shastras. The text filled with love for knowledge, beauty, and God. The sages of the past truly inquired: about the cosmos, space, and time. This seemed to be something of a forerunner to the Bhagavata and a precis to the Mahabharata. To all scholars and enthusiasts on Indian religion and the nation's ancient past this can place much of that world in context. A pleasure to read. One can't resist thanking Horace Hayman Wilson, one of the premier Sanskritists for doing the translation.

I loved reading this book as it gave me various insights on Vishnu with many of the childhood stories i heard being solidified in a text. However, the font on this book is horrible, you cannot make out sanskrit alphabets at all. And in many pages the english alphabets are hard to make out too.
