Inside of You is the followup novel to Part of Me and is the final book in Jessa & Paxton's story.
With Paxton’s past in Glencoe behind him and Jessa’s walls destroyed, Jessa and Paxton are ready to start living. Determined to keep each other safe as they dive into Paxton’s former life with his band, Polly, their relationship deepens and together, they are becoming stronger.
But when a part of Paxton’s past arrives in Chicago, he and Jessa are sent on a physical and emotional journey that will test their love in ways they couldn't have ever seen coming.
Loving each other is easy, but holding onto that love is proving to be the hardest thing they have ever done.
Due to explicit sexual content and harsh language, Inside of You is intended for mature readers.
An escapist filled with wanderlust, writing is Haven’s responsible adult version of getting in the car and driving without aim. Reading and music are close seconds. She and her husband can often be found checking out their favorite bands locally or hundreds of miles away via road trips. Reading is something they don’t have in common, but he tolerates her dimly lit late-night habit.
Haven once made a living writing about trends in interior design but thoroughly enjoys that fact that people, unlike furniture, can fall in love. She especially loves when they fall desperately and into a forbidden kind of love. Haven also works as a graphic designer but considers Mom her most important title.
She has a slightly embarrassing fascination with the period of life that sits awkwardly between childhood and adulthood; the years when nothing is certain, lots of mistakes are made, falling in love is inevitable, and finding yourself is a struggle. For her it’s a fun place to escape to and she hopes her readers agree.
Another 10 star read for me....yes 5 stars is simply not enough! The journey continues for Jessa & Paxon in the final part of their story...they are blissfully happy now they are in a committed relationship but changes are afoot but how will they deal? This book for me really encompassed everything I love in a book...full of love & passion but also drama, insecurity and growth,we have all at some point had to deal with change but some changes whilst navigating a new relationship can be difficult...and for this couple falling into old habits can be too easy. The problems experienced I feel were necessary to the story with a few unexpected surprises I never saw coming at all...but I loved how the characters changed, evolved and really grew into everything we knew they could be, but I did want to throw my kindle once or twice and SHOUT nooooo a few times! Yep I acted like a total loon. Again this had it all...some wow moments...some Aah moments...some scorching hot moments...definitely some OMG moments and I had a lovely smile on my face by the end. Thank you Haven for the gift of this book...for a beautiful story that I will read time & again and cherish
I gave Part of Me 5★ and if possible I would give this more. It starts out with Paxton and Jessa happy but then Paxton's ex Stella shows up. That girl is psycho. Jessa starts questioning their relationship and decides to go home to River Bluff alone for spring break. Stella takes advantage of Jessa's absense without Paxton even realising it. Jessa seeing things the way Stella is portraying them decides to stay there. Paxton not knowing what's going on decides he needs to go get her. When he arrives Jessa of course doesn't want to talk to him and keeps pushing him away. She won't tell him what's happening but he manages to find out on his own. With Emily's help he finds out just how bad it looks. Paxton takes Jessa on a road trip and spends it helping her to work through things so that she realises how much they love each other. It has a great ending.
I was sent a ecopy by the author in exchange for my opinion. Thanks Haven!
***I received this series from the author in exchange for feedback*** This is one of my favorite series ever. I absolutely love, not only the characters, but Haven's ability to make you feel so emotionally attached to every one of them. Inside of You continues the path into Jessa & Paxton's relationship. Paxton's ex-girlfriend returns and sends Jessa's heart into a downward spiral. Jessa fights the feelings the loss of her independence and leaves Paxton in Chicago while she spends spring break with her best friends. Paxton doesn't handle this well at all and returns to the life of music and drugs while he is stuck in Chicago fulfilling his contract with his band while Jessa is far away. They both have demons to fight while they try to save their relationship. This story has so much love, passion and drama that I couldn't put it down. I immediately went on to read Haven's first series that involves some of the background characters in this book. Hoping there will be more...I would love to read and Nat and Luke or Violet!!!
This was a great conclustion to Jessa & Paxtons story. These books aren't the typical story. Just something seems so different about them that makes them so good. I was totally sucked in throughout the whole book just to see what would happen. Sometimes it was like a roller coaster...you're frustrated with Jessa then you're mad at Paxton and you just wanna yell at them but it's so captivating that you just have to keep reading.
I absolutely loved the epilogue. It wasn't even this big thing but just well written-I just loved the conclusion.
I most definitely recommend these books, and will for sure be looking for more work from this author in the future :)
*I received a copy of this book courtesy of the author in exchange for my feedback. Thank you Haven!!
Inside of You is fantastic! I thought I loved Jessa and Pax in Part of Me, but wow, they got even better. There were a couple of times I wanted to smack both of them. You really feel everything they go through together. I love imagining Polly on stage. I was not happy when drugs came back as a major part of the band's resurgence, but I guess that is often the rock scene. I thought Jessa got kinda whiney, but by the end, I totally got why and came to terms with it. I enjoyed the road trip, especially the patience and understanding Pax showed Jessa (and the self-control!). I'm so pleased to have been given the priviledge to read this series.
I had the pleasure of beta reading this novel and let me just say WOW!
I loved this continuation of Pax and Jessa's story!
This book will take you on the journey of what it's like to be in a real relationship with trials and tribulations. You'll feel their struggle, you'll feel their love, their hurt, anger, and you won't be able to put it down.
You will get backstory for Jessa and you will also get insight into some of Paxton's past.
Inside of You finds Jessa and Pax three months later and everything is going well for them. Pax is back to playing in Polly and writing new material. Jessa is studying design in college. They are in a good place with each other and those around them.
“We were never us until we had each other.” –Jessa
But their moments of zen don’t last long when Pax’s former Chicago life starts rearing it’s ugly head in the form of his ex-girlfriend, Stella. Plain and simple, Stella is a real manipulative snake. And the intense reaction she produces from Paxton has Jessa struggling again with the lasting power of their relationship.
This time around their relationship feels even more intense, at times all consuming. There is something so powerful about what they have and it makes the story very gripping.
“I think anything’s possible when I’m inside of you. Yeah, I think part of me, part of my soul, just fled my body and went straight into yours.” –Paxton
Issues that were a part of their relationship in the first book (Pax’s reluctance to discuss the past, Jessa’s insecurities, both of their fears of the other leaving) crop back up again and are compounded by the events that play out.
Sometimes you just want to shake the sense into both of them. They both make mistakes or more accurately don’t handle the situation in the best way. Yet, Haven Francis does an amazing job of depicting both sides of their issues. You understand why Jessa is so distraught over what she has seen and yet you want her to move past it at the same time. And Pax clearly makes some bad choices and indulges in some self-destructive behavior, and yet when he steps up to the plate, he’s easy to forgive in the readers’ eyes.
Despite his week-long downward spiral, Pax is willing to go the distance—literally— so Jessa can breathe. By the later part of the book it is Jessa’s turn to do some self-examination and some soul searching if she’s ever to have a healthy relationship with Paxton. In the process, some background on Jessa’s past is revealed.
But Inside of You is about putting the past behind you, living in the present, and finding yourself. It’s about learning the big things and little things about each other, loving in a way that supports each other while at the same time allowing the other person to find out who they are; giving each other space without ever leaving; and going through the bad together and coming out in a better place.
This sequel is more angsty than the first book, and largely the humor/banter that we saw in Part of Me is absent this time around. Jessa and Pax both go to much darker places in their lives and in their minds. As individuals, they are both broken and so much deserving of healing. As a couple, they are passionate and leave you with a bit of a book hang-over as you ponder the depths of their connection. Yet their journey towards the end takes them back to the good places they once were but with new self-awareness and new understandings of love and devotion.
Part of Me is the story of Jessa and Paxton, who are best friends. They part ways as Jessa leaves for college in Chicago, a city that Paxton is not allowed to be in. He goes out to California, to live with his dad and have a new start. But when Jessa's first semester ends in disaster, Paxton sends his friend Violet to go help Jessa and be friends with her.
Jessa unlike most of the females in a best friend turned lovers story, is the one who does not want to invest in an emotional relationship, so she goes after one sexual encounter after another. Both of them have disturbing pasts that put them on the path of being best friends. But as time goes by, Paxton realizes just how much Jessa means to him, and that he has to tear down her walls of insecurity and non-commitment. He then goes back to Chicago to be with her, and show her how much she means to him.
The book is written in both POV's, which I like because we get a glimpse into both their minds and emotions- not just a one sided view that leaves you guessing about the other's intentions. I give this book 5 Stars, love how it is written, and how the story develops.
Inside of You is the sequel to Part of Me, and the last book in Jessa's and Paxton's journey. Jessa and Paxton are finally happy and together until Paxton's ex shows up. Jessa already having her commitment issues in the past, begins to doubt her relationship with Paxton. She decides to go back home during Spring break alone, leaving Paxton behind. She decides to stay after Paxton's ex works her way between them. I wanted to throw my kindle against something because Jessa didn't talk to Paxton, just took his ex at face value for what she said was going on. Paxton, not knowing what happened goes after her, which I endearingly applaud, cause he truly loves her. Jessa keeps trying to push him away again without telling him why. I got so angry at her again, why didn't she just talk to him? But Paxton figures it out, and realized just how bad everything looked after his ex showed back up.
Paxton takes Jessa on a road trip, so it is just them, and they can reconnect. She realizes as she works through her hurt, she still loves him. The story has so much passion, love, and drama. I give this book 4 stars, just because I felt it was a little contrived at times at how the story was drawn out, when communication would have cleared up so much. But I still love how it was written and got you sucked in from the start. I am happy that Jessa and Paxton found their HEA.
Jessa and Paxton are finally together and the band "Polly" is doing really well. Jessa copes well worth the groupies!, Paxton really loves her and is willing to give it up for her but she assures him she's fine ,nashe has his heart <3 Gabriel ( his dad) is also proud of him , they even have a record deal ! I love that he tells him , Paxton may be grown up but hearing a parent's approval means alot and let's be honest Paxton had a sad childhood !
Someone from Paxton's past comes to haunt him and I get a really bad feeling about this girl. She has a history with Paxton and she broke him but what he has with Jessa is solid and they'll survive but nit without a fight and I think Stella is going to rock the boat !
Paxton realises that Stella's been using the social networks to her favour and its created doubt , insecurity and fear in Jessa , when he sees it for himself he understands better and can feel her pain , he's actually physically ill when reality hits home !
Jessa also has a revelation that leaves me reeling in shock and sick to the pit of my stomach. One person's selfish actions and abuse of power changed the course of another's , because of what happened we get a better understanding of why Jessa functions the way she does emotionally. "The truth shall set you free"~~This is true for Jessa , the moment she talked about it you could feel the burden lift and her "aura" shift . My respect for Paxton moves to a whole new level , he talks Jessa through her experience and helps her come to terms with it and find herself again!
"Inside of You" ends with "Polly" doing really well for themselves, Jessa skating like a rock star and as for her and Paxton , life is just beginning!
"Inside of You" gets a five star still sniffling into my kleenex review !
This is the continuation of Jessa and Paxton's story after Part of Me. Jessa and Paxton are together in Chicago and Pax has started playing with his band again. Jessa gets to see what life is like with rock star Pax. Even though they are very much in love, they both have a lot of issues that begins to make things tough and there are outside forces that are challenging their relationship.
Although I enjoyed spending more time with both of these characters, I did like the first installment better than this one. For the first two thirds of the book I wanted to throttle both Jessa and Pax for not addressing their blazing co-dependence. For how in lvd they were they did a pretty poor job of communicating anything real to one another until the last third of the book. Once that happened, and we gained much more substantial information about both characters I got re-engaged with this story and was happy with where it went. The chemistry is definitely still intense between Jessa and Pax throughout, and I was really hoping that they would both get their acts together and really resolve their problems in a way that would allow them to move forward. I definitely enjoyed this series and would read more by this author in the future.
*An ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review
Jessa and Paxton are back, all loved up in their little cocoon environment they have created for themselves. However, it isn't long before there is trouble in paradise. Stella! Paxton's ex, who is hell bent on trying to get back the man she claims to love.
Compared to Part Of Me, there is so much more angst in Inside of You. Poor communication is fueled by evasiveness, false presumption and insecurity. Causing cracks to form in their relationship. They still claim to love one another, but is love alone enough to keep them together?
At times, I felt like knocking Paxton and Jessa's heads together in pure frustration. Their mutual paranoid responses to each others' “issues,” drove me mad! I wanting to shout WTF are you doing? No one can dispute the overwhelming feelings involved, as they try to work through their own set of demon's in the hope of re-building their lives together.
As with Part Of Me, this book is told from alternating points of view, which really enhances the emotional aspect of the characters' lives. A colourful set of supporting characters also adding to the overall enjoyment of the book. Before reading these two books following Paxton and Jessa, I hadn't read any other books by the author. Something that will now change.

4 1/2 stars I've read both books I love pax I think he's beyond his years! Pax really comes out from himself and you truly understand the way he is in the second book and Jessa needs all pax's help but it's a lovely revelation!!! Loved it
