This book is an outline of my learning experiences from grade school in Australia in 1935 to my undergraduate degree in 1951 and through the decision to pursue graduate study at two US universities from 1957 to 1960. It is record of one individual's experience and the contrast of educational programs in Australia and America during that period. It concludes with a bried review of the career that resulted from the training in the two countries.
