After a year of travel, fun-loving pool shark Lynette Brooks has settled in Pineville to be near her cousin. She doesn't plan to be there long, and she doesn't expect fate to step in, sweeping her off her feet. But when she meets the serious cop, Ty Sellers, she sees a challenge and is determined to get to know him.
Ty is a no-nonsense, by-the-book lawman who keeps to himself. Living in a fog of misery is exactly what he deserves, and getting emotionally attached to someone is not an option…until he meets Lynette. She's spontaneous, reckless, and a gorgeous haphazard of a woman who threatens to break through his guarded walls and unsettles emotions he buried long ago.
The chemistry between them is undeniable, but the guilt Ty lives with every day causes him to push Lynette away. All she wants is him, but how much of his wavering can she take before letting go for good?
Will find me behind my laptop typing away or glued to my Kindle lost in a great book.
I've spent most of my life creating stories. Writing is one of my great loves. Romance and eroticism with a HEA are my favorites.Whether my words make readers cry or laugh or just downright hot, I'm proud to take people on a journey with my characters.
I live in a small town in Arkansas with my husband and son.
This is one of those fast moving, engaging stories you read in one sitting. Sidda has a unique voice that stands out and drives her stories forward.
The heroine Lynette is a free spirit (she hustles money by playing pool as an example which is pretty cool in my book.) She's definitely not ready to settle down--at least this is what she wants to believe. She meets our hero Ty, who is reserved and the tortured loner type which I love in heroes.
Initially he resists her flirtation, but soon they find themselves on a dance floor and chemistry ignites.
Ty has a past that leaves him afraid of committing, and despite the growing attraction and feelings between him and Lynette, this wedges between them. And Lynette is ready to run, which is what she does when things get tough.
In the end it all combines to make a dramatic climax and a satisfying ending.
This is a story about Lynette Brooks and Ty Sellers. Ty Sellers is a reclusive cop who holds a dark secret he can’t let go of and Lynette is a free spirit who enjoys playing pool and hanging out with people. Their attraction to each other is obvious, but each time they get close, Ty pulls away. Each time he pulls away though, it tears Lynette up. The question I had in the midst of the book was – will he be able to deal with the pain and the past, so he can enjoy life with Lynette? Will their passion for each other help them to make it to their happy ever after? I enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend it. Sidda Lee Tate really knows how to draw the reader in and make you feel like you could be a friend in the midst of this story and help lead the couple to each other!
I loved this book so much! Can't Let You Go is part of a series but can easily be read as a stand alone. The great characters from the other books adds flavour to the book either way. I adore Sidda's writing style, it's totally unique and believable, really making her characters pop. Lynette was a brilliant character, realistically quirky, independent and strong, she was exactly my type of heroine. Ty made a super hot tortured hero, and I just couldn't get enough of the tension between these two! This is a book you'll be glad you got your hands on, and it'll make you want to go straight online to get the rest of the series if you haven't already read them!
What a fab read! Author Sidda Lee Tate really paints a picture with words and draws you right into the story. Can’t Let You Go – no, I couldn’t. And as the tagline suggests, falling for Ty was incredibly easy.
Surly Ty, with his difficult past, will only play by the book. Uptight and insular he needs someone as feisty and unpredictable as Lynette to break through his emotional barrier. Even though it puts a dent in her own. I loved seeing her drag Ty from his comfort zone, loved the chemistry between the two, and although this book can easily be read as a stand alone, their group of friends made me want to pick up the whole series
