A thorough, informative, and engaging critical analysis of the works of Barbara Pym. I had it checked out so long because I was reading the novels along with this book. Among the first published examinations of the author's works after Pym's resurgence in popularity followed by her untimely death in 1980. For all Pym scholars and devotees.

A solid, entertaining look at Pym's life and works (emphasis on the works). This is an American volume, that emerged in the 1980s, which was the peak period of interest in Pym's novels. It's not the "definitive" volume on the subject, but a sensitive treatment nevertheless.
