M. M. Cox is a journalist and professional blogger who just recently published the Teen Mobster Series with Bluewood Publishing. If you’ve ever wanted to try laughing while biting your fingernails, you should read her books. Cox has lived in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Colorado Springs, Boston, and Washington D.C. and run races in different cities. If you ask her why she writes, she’ll tell you that she attended her first writer’s conference at the age of 13 and dreamed of sharing her own stories ever since.

Cox currently resides in Oklahoma City with her husband and children. Yes, she’s had to crouch down in a storm shelter during a tornado. No, she hasn’t seen a witch and her flying monkeys. Apparently those are only in Kansas. But there's a first time for everything...

The book was pretty good. It went a little fast and could have held a little more depth and detail into the story and characters. I like the idea of it; hunting fallen angels. It got better as the story went on though. The beginning of it felt a bit rushed and I felt like Cassie was much too accepting and willing, she didn't really question anything at all which made it a bit unrealistic. But I generally liked the book. :)

This was my first paranormal with angels since Pullman's His Dark Materials and I was afraid the two may be similar - boy was I relieved this went in a completely different direction! I liked the parallels to the bible (made me want to hit Google myself, like Cassie). The plot twists and turns lead to an unexpected ending, and the reveal of the bad guy. It was fast paced.
My only concerns were that Cassie did not really question much of what was happening but went along for the ride too willingly. Everything was explained - but I also felt that some of the explanations were a little too convenient. It also took me a long time to unravel the whole fallen angel thing and the rules that applied.
Nevertheless, an entertaining read.

An exciting supernatural tale that hooks the reader from page one. M.M. Cox doesn't disappoint.
