This is a great way to teach Jewish Family History. A good companion to a class in American Jewish history. I have used it successfully since it came out in 1983. And I am grateful for it. However, recently, it has become more difficult to use. People's family's are more complex than this text allows for and many of our students are in interfaith families. While it is still important to teach Jewish history, it is also important for our students to find their own place within this history and their own families. With a few changes, I have updated the material and am piloting it this year.
