i can't endorse this book enough, i've used it dozens of times over the past couple years and it was an incredible investment for $15. it has dozens of nature places around boston, almost half of which are t-accessible. great directions to every location, detailed maps, and an obscene amount of local history for places like Mt. Auburn Cemetary, Minuteman Bikepath, etc. The only gripe is that the photos are pretty nondescript and all in B/W. still, i am quite pleased to own this little guy. it's traveled quite a few miles.

This was a wonderful blend of trail guide and geographical, historical pocket guide with detailed maps and directions. Having a knowledge of places you explore adds so much to an experience and I wish more trail guides were like this
