This series is titled 'The Basic Series', but it goes beyond basics in each of the books I've read so far. This one, on sampling, will be most useful for anyone using a computer to sample types of sounds from standard musical instruments to voices to any other sound he/she wants to use in the recording process. I'd recommend this and the others in 'The Basic Series' for anyone using a computer with music software.
