Typically books in this series are good. This book was an exception. Apparently they tried to rush a tutorial book for new software before it was ready. The Photoshop book was easy to follow and I like the tutorial format, but this book was very difficult to follow. The author spoke to the reader like they were already familiar with the older version of their software and Dreamweaver did not behave like what is described in the book and the book makes assumptions that you know now to set up a testing server, and if you do not there is a chapter in this book that will be useless for you. I do like how they are making the tutorial files available with digital downloads that was at least a star. Hopefully they will see how bad this book is and fix it soon. If you are looking for a resource to learn Dreamweaver for the first time, even with HTML and CSS, background knowledge... I suggest you look for a better resource. I know I am.
