Griffin has traveled across centuries to reunite with the woman he loves, but he and Erin may not get their ‘happy ever after’. Not if Lady Isobeil has anything to do with it. She forces Griffin to leave Erin behind and travel to eerie Manx Island. When he goes missing, Erin and his friends set out to find him. Followed by his strong-willed sister, Kateryn, they ride to Swansea and secure passage with the notorious Captain Akin.
Erin sees firsthand how the island earned its dark reputation when she battles freakish weather, encounters a race of little people known as “Prowlies”. She experiences ghosts of the long departed and discovers the “ley lines” crossing the island’s mountain peak that make time travel possible.
Yet these obstacles pale in comparison to the secrets Erin uncovers while determined to rescue the man she loves.
Susan A. Royal takes her readers on adventures to other worlds where anything can happen and frequently does. She once lived in a 100 year old house with a ghost who harmonized with her son when he played guitar and pulled up to blankets on cold winter nights. Susan writes SciFi/Fantasy with action, adventure and liberal doses of romance and is currently working on the third in her time travel series, It’s About Time. Look for her books at Amazon. An action packed time travel. I liked Erin and Kateryn. They each had their own special qualities that I like in female leads. Of course you can't like everyone, so there are some enemies I despised. The story was original, thrilling and adventurous. I feel those who like time travel/fantasy/action with a bit of romance will enjoy, From Now On.
I enjoyed the sequel to Not Long Ago. At times I felt like this other world created had too many parts to keep up with. But overall, I enjoyed the storyline. It was a little sappy at times, but I like sappy. I also like the loose ends that could lead to a third book in the future.
This sequel in the "It's About Time" book series, starts off on a fast pace and does not slow down. As in the first book, Erin's narration is conversational. Even though the back story is seamlessly woven into the second book, I recommend reading the books in order just for the fun of it.
In this book, Griffin travels to Erin's time and the couple returns to the future. Within hours of returning, Lady Isobeil sends Griffin to reconnoiter on Manx Island. When he fails to return, Erin gathers a few family members and friends to go out in search of him. Their adventure is filled with strange happenings, encounters with unusual people, lots of peril, and enough plot twists to keep the reader entertained.
Though I would like to give From Now On by Susan A. Royal 5 stars, I deducted one star because the book needs editing. If you don't mind extra/missed words, I'm sure the story will delight you. It did me.
Sequel of the book "It's about time" is on the sam level as book one! So you can see in star rating!!
We find here a women from 21th century who loved man from anther time, and this man is in love with her. It's a story about risking everything you know or have for the one you love. We find here something about Erin's family (very surprising!). This book has lots of detail from the medieval time. And this ending made me almost fall from the chair - brilliant! I recommend this book to medieval and romance lovers. With a bit of technology. :)
From Now On, the sequel to Susan Royal's first book Not Long Ago, Erin achieves every woman's dream...a lover who travels across time to find her. Once found, however, Erin and Griffin discover what all the world knows...the path of true love is never smooth. Adventure and danger lurk, luring readers into the magic of Ms. Royal's imaginative story and engaging their interest from the outset. A satisfying sequel to the initial book in the series that leaves us wanting more. Bring it on, Susan. Your fans await the next chapter in the adventure.
"From Now On" is full of great historic details, romance, and humor. The characters are well-defined and engaging, and the plot is interesting and well-paced
