Some of these poems were very relatable, but the majority of them were just silly and super fun to read. I really enjoyed laughing my way through this book, and the artwork was stunning!
There was only a handful of really good poems in this book. I chose a few to read for my library's phone-a-story program, so I decided to read the entire book. I wish the rest of the book was as good as the selections I read.
Some poems try to be thought provoking and some try to be uplifting and some are just downright gross or silly, yet the majority of the book just wasn't enjoyable for me because it felt so amateurish. It suffers from some metric problems that ruin the rhythm of reading out loud and some rhyming is too basic, even by children's standards. He owes his writing inspiration to Shel Silverstein, but honestly he should leave the children's poetry to Shel.
Cute collection of poems. Poems range for 4 lines to and entire page length with nice black and white pictures. My favorite poem has to be the first one in the book, Neon Aliens Are My Homework.
