I started the book to improve my understanding of Backbone.js, but what I found is a collection of overviews of different JavaScript libraries and frameworks for full-stack development in JavaScript. Node, grunt, express, yeoman, bower... are all cited and used in the book, making it difficult for the reader who doesn't know those technologies, and boring for the developer which is looking for more depth. I think the book is neither appropriate for a beginner which want to get familiar with Backbone.js nor for an expert which want a complete overview of full stack development in JavaScript.
