I read this book for a communications class and while I enjoyed it, the writing was repetitive and the entire book could be condensed into two or three chapters. Beebe and Beebe gave helpful suggestions on how to control the fear of public speaking and how to prepare a speech. They went into detail on finding sources and how to take your audience into account while making and presenting your speech. The end was a brief overview of different speeches from acceptance speeches to eulogies, and even covered comedy at dinner conversations as well as group work. This book is a good introduction to public speaking and a helpful hand in guiding along the presentation process.
