This is a captivating novel based on the life of Jesus. Author of both the novel and the screenplay, Murray Watts, introduces an interpretation of the Gospel stories as seen through the eyes of a child.
I loved reading this! It was like the movie but a whole more detailed—how Tamar came to know the carpenter who worked in Sepphoris who healed her, and so many people, inspired millions and died for all of us out of pure love! We get to see her thoughts and feelings on Jesus’ life! I recommend it!
Beautiful book. Similar to the movie (not sure which came first) but much more complex, it tells the story of Jesus through the eyes of Tamar - the girl he raises from the dead. Lots of emotion - shows Jesus' fully human feelings, while still being set apart and more than human. Loved it!
