David Paul Cronenberg is a Canadian film director and occasional actor.
He is one of the principal originators of what is commonly known as the body horror or venereal horror genre. This style of filmmaking explores people's fears of bodily transformation and infection. In his films, the psychological is typically intertwined with the physical.
In the first half of his career, Cronenberg explored these themes mostly through horror and science fiction, culminating in his visceral and emotional remake of The Fly (1986), with Jeff Goldblum and Geena Davis, followed by Dead Ringers (1988), with Jeremy Irons in the lead role.
Cronenberg has worked with Lord of the Rings star Viggo Mortensen in A History of Violence (2005), Eastern Promises (2007), both crime thrillers, and period drama A Dangerous Method (2011), also with Michael Fassbender (Promotheus)and Keira Knightley, and Twilight star Robert Pattinson in Cosmopolis (2012) and Maps to the Stars (2014), also featuring Julianne Moore.
I have searched for the story as a pdf and i didn't find it..so i had to see the movie..and i did.. Yesterday i was at some place where that movie was played..i wasn't following and i didn't have the chance to follow even if i wanted to...but..a scene has attracted me to get close to the screen and read the name of the movie "A dangerous method"..
the scene was that a lady was kneeling touching the hand of a man gently..asking him for something..i thought it was a romantic scene..but i was shocked when i read what she asked him to do -i was reading the translation actually as i couldn't hear the sound because of the very loud noise around me -she asked him to treat her differently"oh she is asking him to be more kind and loving to her" or this what i thought ! ..but that wasn't her request..she asked him to treat her wildly and to punish her.."what a shock to me!"..romance has committed suicide at that moment.. I searched for the pdf and i didn't find it..and i searched for the movie and watched it..and........ She was a psychiatric patient who by the way became a psychiatrist later-and that was too inspiring for my recent steps iam going through in my career 😀-who fell in love with her psychiatrist and future colleague. . who- in a way or another- is sick too 😃"and this is my opinion"..
i need to write more but i am having a terrible headache now..may be when i read the story i will add more to this review..may be before..may be after..who knows ?! It added to my knowledge..to my experience..my emotions and to my career a bit...
