I was worried this book would be super sexist or racist, but it's actually really cute. A few things I'll talk to my kids about: there are only white characters, the lack of logjam jets when on a boat, and the old woman who buys a puppy from a pet store. Overall a great early reading book, very similar in text style to Little Bear.
